A good well tooled piece which was very easy to use and did the job perfectly at a fair price.

It works
I wouldn't even describe myself as a competent DIYer. I really needed to cut a hole to let hot air out of my media cupboard and I had never done it before. This tool worked fine. You have to go slowly and I did drill a pilot hole first. But it had no issues at all with double plasterboard. The saw is screwed on to the drill bit so make sure it's tight before beginning otherwise it could fly off.I think if I were needing to regularly cut holes I would invest in an arbor too but for what I needed (one or two holes for 100mm duct) it worked perfectly well.

Good 80mm hole cutter
This is basically a good 80 mm hole cutter, plasterboard can get stuck in side the cutter but its not a problem, excellent value!

Sturdy, well made, promptly delivered
The last one of these drill cups I bought was very flimsy, but this one is really very good quality.

Cuts well but spins off when letting off.
If you spin it to drill and then release the trigger the torque in the rotating mass unscrews the it from its centre bit. Not ideal! Perhaps if you got it in a vice and really tightened it up it might be alright. Cut fine through kitchen cabinet.

Exact size holesaw, way out of centre arbor pilot drill.
NEG:1. Drill bit attached to the arbor is probably made of soft steel not HSS. Adjusting with grub does not work as drill bit is bent.2. Holesaw became slightly dull after second hole made in 38mm worktop. (I know it is not really made for this)POS:1. Price.2. Holesaw itself accepts typical arbor with locking pins of Starret or other leading brands.SUMMARY: Does the job, price reflects the value.
