Splendid pair of pants that you won't find at stores
I’m thrilled with these pants! They fit perfectly—straight and slim without being too tight—and the fabric is durable yet lightweight. They handle various weather conditions well, keeping me warm without overheating. The deep, functional pockets are an added bonus, and the versatile design easily transitions from casual to semi-formal. A great combination of style and practicality—highly recommend it!

Pros and Cons
ProsFirst of all, I want to mention that I love these pants. They are super comfortable and seem very durable. My intended use for these pants is hiking, but they also serve as my office pants sometimes. So, they are great to wear to work and then off to an evening hike.ConsThere seems to be a pretty serious quality control issue. I ordered a 36x30 in charcoal as well as khaki. My typical style is pants that are fitted and on the slim side. Definitely not skinny jeans or anything like that, though. I just hate baggy pants. The charcoal pants fit absolutely perfect! The khaki pants sadly did not. They were extremely baggy. These are supposed to be the exact same pants, but a different color. I ordered the same khaki pants again, but in 34x30 and when they arrived, they were way too small. So I believe these were a true 34x30. So then I thought maybe the original pair that I ordered in khaki may have just been incorrectly sized. So, I ordered a third pair of the khaki back in 36x30 and these are better, but not perfect. They are a little tight in the waist and just a slightly baggy. I'm going to keep these as they are not terrible, but I just wanted to mention the variations you might get when ordering these.Once again, I highly recommend these pants. They seem like they will be functional in so many areas. They also do not have all of those ridiculous cargo pockets that a lot of people never use. They're very streamlined. So, if you get a pair and they don't fit just right, I believe it is worth giving them a second chance by returning and ordering again.

Comfortable pants that look good and pack easy
I'm 5'11, 205+ lbs with longer torso and shorter legs. I purchased 36x30 in navy color and it fit true with a bit of helpful stretch at the waist. I've had the pants 3 months and washed and worn them about 5 times. They still look and fit great - no shrinkage or visible wear. (I try to wash pants and jeans inside-out in cold water to extend wearable life).Very comfortable! clean look - not baggy, rumply, or overtight. Can dress up for relaxed business or dress down to kick around on the weekends. Stretchy enough that you could also use for long on-your-feet activities such as golf, light hiking, sight seeing/touring, non-formal conference/exhibition participation, etc. These are very easy to roll and pack. I unroll them and hang them up when I unpack and they look good the next day without any other care. Sizing, stitching, pockets, zippers, button, and color fastness were good on my pair. Based on my experience, this is a solid deal! I'm buying another pair in another color.

Slim vs Regular Fit Excursion Pants ... Nice Alternative to Pricier "Travel Pants"
I purchased and compared the Slim and Regular fit versions of the Weatherproof Excursion Pants in the 36 x 32 inch size. There is little, if any, size variation between the Slim and Regular versions in the waist, seat and thigh areas. In the area below the knee, the Slim fit version is approximately 1/4 to 1/2 inch more narrower than the Regular fit version. Consequently, the Slim fit version offers a slightly more streamlined look at and below the knee. Unless you have large calves or wear boots, I would suggest the slim version of the Excursion Pants.I also read a few other reviews and/or answered questions about these pants that I believe are in error. First, the pants are water resistant, not water-proof. A small amount of water will initially bead off the pants, but prolonged exposure to water will saturate the pants. Second, the Slim version (as of January of 2022) does not feature a zipper on either of its legs. There is a zippered additional pocket above the back pocket of the pants on one side. Third, some reviewers recommended ordering a smaller than normal size to obtain a more fitted look. I would order your regular waist and inseam measurements because the fabric and waist band of the pants (both versions) comfortably stretches. In general, these slightly refined pants (no exposed zippers on the legs, no cargo pockets, no attachment loops, etc.) are a good deal when you consider some of the grossly overpriced "travel pants" offered by other specialty makers (looking at you: Kuhl, Western Rise, Prada, and Royal Robbins). For about $40, these pants are worth a try.

Broken zipper after 2 wears
Wore these pants twice and the zipper broke. Unable to return or exchange due to being more than 30 days since ordering. I missed the return window by 4 days. If the seller is reading reviews I'd appreciate an exchange for a non-defective product. Other than the zipper breaking, I really like these pants. Stretchy and comfortable.
