This pen is so stylish and affordable which is a great combination.He can use it for everyday use and also for fancy events.Whether he’s writing in a journal, finishing his master’s degree, or signing his first mortgage. The ink cartridge makes installation easy without worrying about ink spilling on hands or clothes. I loved the fact the beautiful leather case/gift box included six cartridges.If my son decides to use bottled ink, it comes with a converter. Bottled ink is another option to save money and provide a separate option for using the beautiful pen.It is a well-balanced and comfortable to hold. The black body is made of stainless steel and isn’t too heavy but doesn’t feel cheap either.The medium nib is a good size for writing quickly and legibly for taking notes in class or at work.The ink dries quickly so no smearing on the document and the convenient and stylish leather case makes it easy to carry in the car or a backpack.Overall, the BEILUNER 24K Black Fountain Pen is a versatile and stylish pen that can be used for a variety of tasks. Looks great and writes well. Doesn’t skip and ink flows well. Writes smooth. Very happy with the pen and reasonably priced.

This is one of the best budget fountain pens available. Mine has been filled with waterman black and it has performed flawlessly with no dry starts and some of the smoothest pen to paper i have felt. The ink flows from the nib in a silky smooth flow as it caresses the page. It is a "nice" (fine) that enhances your writing ability inviting you to keep writing. Sure there are cheaper pens out there....sure there are more expensive pens out there...But Pound for Pound this is the best writing instrument. I highly recommend you add this to your collection. I think it is the nib...superb

Not many people still use fountain pens, and I was suspicious of a made-in-China pen for such a low price. I am happy to report that I am very pleased by this Beiluner pen, with fine tip. Writing with the pen is smooth, and the line width of Fine Tip is just right for me.Various postings have complained about the pen's writing being too broad and/or the ink spreads. This is the fault of the paper, not the pen. Writing on "printer paper" does not work. The ink spreads and bleeds through. This is part of the design of the paper for inkjet printing. Normal paper for writing has sizing to prevent spreading and bleeding. (Go to Wikipedia and search on "sizing" for more info.) It is like writing on newsprint instead of magazine paper. The pen works well with pages for school notebooks or stationery. Note: For signing letters, use quality "bond" paper. Do not use "printer" paper because of the bleeding, unless you want a big bold signature. Of course, the bleed-through would be convincing evidence that the signature is real, not just a printed graphic ;-)The pen with ink and cap weigh 32 g (1 oz.); without cap 21 g. Yes, it heavier than most ballpoint pens, but not a problem; I like it.The pen came with the "converter" insert installed, and that is good. I do not use disposable cartridges for various reasons. Some notes on filling: Immerse pen tip deeper into the ink to load than the instructions show. Must go all the way to the gold ring, or only air is drawn in. Test: Lower the piston to displace air with the pen in the ink. If there are no bubbles, it is not deep enough and will not draw ink. A side effect is that the ink bottle needs to have a lot of ink to be deep enough.

Update- After posting this review, I was contacted by Beilunar. They apologized for the non-working pen, and replaced it. The new one works great, and as I said in my original review, it looks beautiful. So I am very happy with the pen, as well as their customer service. Upgrading to 5 stars. FWIW, they did not ask me to change the review, it just seems like the right thing to do.I bought this pen about 9 months ago. It has never made a smooth line of ink. It skipped a lot, and was useless for writing. I tried cleaning it, pushing ink by squeezing the cartridge, etc. Nothing has worked.I put it aside for a while, and then tried cleaning it again. It doesn't write at all.Looking at the other reviews, people seem happy with theirs. I guess I got a lemon. But I can't recommend this pen because of my experience. It's a beautiful pen (red & 24k gold), I just wish it worked.

This pen writes so smoothly. As if it is a much more expensive pen. I would compare it to a mont blanc pen. It is well crafted and a great shade. I bought the red one and it is absolutely gorgeous.
