Dakine Frankie 26L Backpack - Aquamarine

This backpack is excellent. I love all of the organization and how much I can fit in it. The material is a bit sturdier than I would have liked (I'm used to a floppy Jansport), so it might be difficult to stuff under a plane seat. If anything, this backpack is a bit too study for my liking. The padded pocket is so padded there's no flexibility, but on the other hand, that means that thinner laptops are very safe in this. I've used it several times over the past month and it's served me well. Previously I was using a floppy backpack and then a tote bag, then carrying my water bottle by hand. It all fits in great. It does feel very large, though.It did smell funky when I first got it. After contacting Dakine Customer Service, I was told they'd been told this product does smell and to let it air out. It got better, but I had to throw it in the washer. It came out looking like new though so it wasn't a big deal.

I purchased this backpack to replace my old Dakine that has seen better days. I’ve had the Frankie for about 2 months now and it has been great! The laptop compartment is very convenient, and the two main compartments are incredibly spacious. Plenty of room to pack for a weekend trip. I also love how far down the zippers go on all the compartments, which gives to better visibility when you have the bag completely stuffed. The only thing I wish was different was another bottle pocket on the side that has the small zippered pocket, but that’s something I knew when I purchased it. It’s good quality and comfortable to wear. Looking forward to using this backpack for years to come!
