I read the complaints about assembly, and I'm puzzled. I'm an old-lady social sciences professor and had zero trouble with assembling the tree while recovering from a bout of sciatica and with assistance from a cat. All parts were marked, and there was a booklet with diagrams, assembly instructions in multiple languages, appropriate tools, and some spare hardware. The tree was well-packed, arrived quickly, and I purchased it at a discount. The assembled tree is sturdy and attractive. Yes, the top perch is covered in fabric -- unlike the rest of the tree, which is black metal and easy-to-keep-clean laminated black shelves. (I will slipcover the top perch using fabric I used in the room and that will be a simple sewing project. For now, I covered the perch with a small fleece blanket.) This tree is superior in appearance and cleanability to the many carpet-covered trees we have previously purchased. (The carpet-covered trees were a decorating compromise and then quickly became even more unsightly when the carpet became worn and would no longer come clean.)We have two semi-large cats (15 and 17 pounds) and the top perch has not been empty for more than a few minutes since the tree arrived about a week ago. If I cannot find either of the fur babies, the missing feline is asleep on the top perch. (They favor this tree over another tree about the same height that is topped with a cushioned platform and a taller feeding station in front of a window with a self-heating fur pad on the large top perch.) The round base is ample in size to hold a turbo scratcher or other large cat toy. I want the cats to be comfortable and I also want my home to look attractive; this cat tree meets both of those goals!

I had no trouble putting it together and my cat was perched on it within 15 minutes. I love the sleek design and it's very sturdy. Absolutely no complaints.

Overall I love this, but would have had to return it if I was not handy since a couple of the bolt hole placements were off and it would have been impossible to put together without modifications. (Hence 1 star off) Very modern look and sturdy. We are putting it on a balcony so I was looking for something heavy and durable.

This easy to assemble cat tree looks like a sculpture! I looked at so many cat trees, but didn’t see one that wasn’t too bulky or didn’t looksecure enough on the bottom. When I saw this one, I knew I wanted to get it. It doesn’t take up half the room and my cat loves it! This is one well thought out design.

Some of the holes are way too big and barely hold onto screws securely, chips in the metal paint that stand out, gap in the vertical scratcher, and fraying in the scratcher pad. Safety wise, there is a ton of metal/paint dust on the parts, seemingly from all the metal pieces have chips in their edges revealing the silver colored metal underneath the black powder coat. The parts were individually separated, so this must be a manufacturing issue than a shipping damage issue. I thoroughly wiped it down with a microfiber and turned it black from the black residue and fragments, so I would highly recommend the same before letting your cat sniff it. It looks good from a distance, but for this price, the quality was very lacking, and I think the coat on the metal pieces will flake off more over time.

I've been looking for a cat tower that is good quality and stylish at the same time and preferably less fabric and this is it.I wish they made different types, I'd buy more for two other rooms.

Easy to assemble and sturdy. Dont have to worry about my cats destroying it. Also beautiful
