I have never had such beautiful, high quality kitchen knives. These are truly superb. And sharp? Oh! They're sharp, alright! Each straight blade has its own ceramic sharpener in its place in the block, which serves to resharpen the blade as you draw it out, or return it home. And each knife has its very own, marked place to live.The knives all feel very good in the hand and seem well balanced, so no more achy, cramped hands when prepping ingredients. The block that hosts the knives is a little on the large side and takes up a lot of room on my work surface, but I can live with that. It is also beautifully made.A fairly comprehensive selection of knives includes all that I'll ever need, plus six steak knives and a pair of utility scissors. Even the scissors are better than other kitchen scissors I've had in the past. I really love this set and highly recommend them to everyone.I always try to write an honest and unbiased review of all the products I order. My reviews are only my opinion, of course, but I hope they help.

The media could not be loaded. Henckels have, as far back as I can remember, always had a reputation for good knives. Maybe not the most expensive but a solid performer much better than an average knife. These 13 pieces in a block look to have that quality. A solid quality that will be worth the money and with proper care last a long time.In the set apart from the 6 serrated edge “steak” knives are Scissors, chefs’ knife, utility knife and paring knife to name a few. The set is comprehensive and the holding block is heavy so it will be stable on the counter top. While the top may be graphite as described the bottom bit is a wood effect.One of the main advantages of this set is the self-sharpening feature. From the photo it can be seen that there is a “V” groove in the slots for the 4 plain edge knives, not the serrated edge knives. As the knife is drawn from the block it runs through the V notch to give the knife a quick honing. This may be useful for taking the burr off the knife edge in between proper sharpening.As I understand it, a fully forged knife has the blade and a full tang (the handle bit) all forged from one piece of steel. The 20cm chefs’ knife does have good balance and the handle shape feels comfortable when using.A good all-round complete knife set.

Hi, all knives are sharp and they have grat design however one of them (most used one) started to tarnish. Marks can no be removed with sponge and fairy liquid. Also the handles on the knives are decouloring. Pictures attached. For henckels brand, the are poor quality. I am returning them.Thanks, Cesar

This is a serious amount of cash to splash on knives. The best bit about the set, apart from the quality of the blades, is that they all have inbuilt sharpeners. This means that they are kept sharp, enhancing the quality and overall longevity of the blades (in our house at least).I like all of them - all sharp, and I like that they each have a spot in the block. I don’t like how massive the block is and that you then need to wash and return the blades immediately after using them as you won’t have a spare one. I tend to have two of all my most used knives so that I can stick one in the dishwasher. These don’t go in the dishwasher so not sure if they are practical for me if I’m honest.Feel like a more grown up set that I am used to, or that I am ready to use properly yet! Maybe I’m just not organised enough to own a grown up set yet!The block is also big and takes up too much valuable country space.

They are extremely sharp and feel good in your hand. Not too heavy and, for me, the graphite look is pleasing. Very happy with this set.

I am not a chef or a gourmet cook by any means, but I love how having a qualit7y knife set, makes preparing food so much fast/easier.Top quality and an amazing price, you won't be disappointed with your purchase now and for years to come.

I had used a friends Henckels chefs knife at an event and was impressed. I then did an exhaustive review search before purchasing. I can very honestly say, this is the best knife set I’ve ever bought. The knives feel good in your hands and have good balance. It feels like you are cutting butter the sharpness is so smooth. I chose the graphite 7 piece set and it offers every knife size I would need. And let’s be candid about the appearance…..they are kinda sexy on the counter.

I am extremely satisfied with the HENCKELS Graphite knife set. It has all of the essential knives for everyday cooking tasks. The kitchen shears are perfect for trimming herbs or cutting poultry.The storage block has built-in sharpeners. No more dull knives!

Just got this, but love the solid feel compared to the Imarku knife set. The self sharpening block is also a plus and I like not having those extra unnecessary steak knives .
