I use this pillow every time I go somewhere in the car. At home I’ll use it anytime I want to take a nap but want to be sure my cats won’t climb on my chest while I’m sleeping. A normal pillow works too but this ones shaping does help to be useful in a variety of ways

I got this pillow to use for support getting up and down from bed/seated position after my Gastric Bypass surgery. It served its purpose perfectly. It has an extender to accommodate larger midsections but it wasn't large enough for me since after surgery. But I got it to hold against my abdomen for support, so the strap not fitting me wasn't much of an issue for me since I was going to hold it firmly against my body anyway.The pillow is on the firmer side so depending on what it's used for, the pillow may be a little too firm. It was a bit too firm for me immediately after surgery but a couple days later it was perfect. Definitely reduced the pain and effort from having to get up or sit/lie down. Recommend! This mastectomy pillow is perfect for post-op recovery. It’s soft, lightweight, and not so bulky that it would be difficult to store or adjust.The plush material has a nice amount of give and can be used when laying/sitting, and potentially even when riding in a car. The pillow comes with a clipped strap so that it can be affixed around the chest without shifting around. This is immensely helpful when wearing it in the car or if you are getting around by wheelchair and need to make sure that your chest is protected.The pocket on the front is also great for storing important items, though I would advise against using it as a place to store any drain bags, as those are best stored in a surgical garment, rather than a pillow.This pillow works great for standard mastectomy recovery, as well as gender affirmation top surgery recovery.Having something to cushion and protect your chest while you’re healing can help increase your comfort while going through a tough time. I definitely recommend this pillow and can’t stress enough how lovely it is to have some thing soft and comfortable to use when dealing with post-op pains and tenderness.

I got this pillow about a month before my mastectomy. After my surgery, I did not want anything to touch that area, including a pillow. I used the pillow to lay back on because I still can't quite figure out what it's supposed to do.
