PLOT SUMMARY: Drifter Chance Wayne returns to his hometown after many years of trying to make it in the movies. With him is a faded film star he picked up along the way, Alexandra Del Lago. While trying to get her help to make a screen test, he also finds the time to meet his former girlfriend Heavenly, the daughter of the local politician Tom 'Boss' Finley, who more or less forced him to leave the town many years ago. ABOUT THE DVD: This is a release by LIVING COLOUR ENTERTAINMENT (part of their 'Classic Cinema Collection') for the NETHERLANDS market (Region 2 PAL format, which is the same as in the UK, so it will play without problems on all standard DVD players in the UK and the rest of Western Europe). The descriptive text on the rear of the packaging is in Dutch and French. AUDIO is the original ENGLISH language (with French and Italian dubbed options on the disc too). SUBTITLES are available in English, Dutch, French, Italian, Romanian and Arabic, and there are also 'hard-of-hearing' subtitles for English and Italian. The film is presented in COLOUR and in WIDESCREEN format and runs for 115 minutes. All menus on the DVD are in English, extras on the disc include a 12 minute 'making of' documentary 'Sweet Bird Of Youth: Chasing Time', Rip Torn and Geraldine Page Screen Tests, the film's original theatrical trailer and there's a Scene Selection menu too.
