Excellent braided line
I love the Runcl Power Braid braided line but that didn't come in a 12lb line so I tried the Runcl Merced. I have used it quite a few times and I don't get wind knots, it is very sturdy, extremly smooth, and this line didn't seem to lose the color.I used a Kast King braid and the line frayed, every cast was plagued with wind knots, and it left flakes of green stuff all over my reel. I replaced it with the Runcl Merced line and this braid was much smoother, hasen't lost the color like the other line did, and it is very sturdy. This stuff makes for very smooth casting. I use it with a flurocarbon leader and it is very easy to tie. I don't seem to get line twists and it goes through the guides as smooth as butter making for casting long distances quite easy. Haven't had wind knots as of yet, even casting in somewhat windy conditions.I have Runcl power braid, in the darker green 15lb, on another rod and have used it for over 3 years going on 4 with no fade at all and no degrading of the line so I am looking forward to seeing how long this Runcl Merced bright color lasts. There might be better brands out there but they tend to be expensive. I haven't tried all of the other brands but I have used Spiderwire, KastKing, and Runcl. Overall Runcl comes in on top because of the quality of the line and certainly the price point. I have used Spiderwire, which is really good line but a bit more expensive and I could only find it in 15lb or above. The KastKing is at a similar price point as the Runcl, maybe a bit cheaper but I didn't have a good experience with it and am still cleaning my reel off from the flakes of green crud the KastKing line left behind. The KastKing also faded (losing all of ther color) after 8 hours of use, which is horrible for any braid to do. I have used 15lb Runcl on quite a few reels and like the line but bought the 12lb for my new reels which casts for miles, even using very light lures. As for prices, the Runcl is affordable and is exceptional quality.

Not a clothsline
I just completed a musky trip to Ontario, Canada. The line my nephew purchased was like a clothesline. The reel was full before you could add a normal cast length. This line, that I purchased is 80#, 500 yards and 5 times smaller . I will be able to add this line to all my reels and my nephew's reels so that the line will not run out on a cast or even a big musky pulls drag out. Also this line is worth the price!

Tough stuff for it's diameter.
Strong for its size. No stretch like monofilament. You will need to set your hook a little lighter and learn some new knots. I like using it.
