Cheap powerful low quality (did I mention cheap?)
I've only played with it a few minutes, here are my initial observations. Dot size is a bit big and not well collimated (dot size gets bigger quickly with distance). It does seem to be reasonably powerful. I have no way to measure the optical power, but it is far brighter than the 5mw diodes i have. As others have stated, the focus is glued and the leads are reversed. Red is negative, black is positive. At 5 volts it draws 390ma and gets warm quickly. I think this seems about right for 50mw. For continuous use it probably needs a heatsink. Physical size: Larger diameter is 12mm, smaller dia is 8.5mm. Overall length including pcb is 25mm. Connector is a 2.54mm JST-XH type. Qty 1 even though picture shows 2.

good laser output for the price. there are minor artifacts from brass reflection easy to fix
good laser output for the price. the beam is a little wider than lower power lasers, but this is ok, there are some artifacts in beam, from the reflection of brass lens is mounted to, but can be eliminated with a 2-3 mm pinhole, without much loss of power. also the inset shelf is 8mm, the size of additional lenses such as line lens.

Not as described
Says it is Focusable. The Focus on the one I got was glued down so it could not be focused. Laser driver is just a resistor. Leads were reversed. Red was negative and Black was positive. It is bright. Will measure power tomorrow.

came as 100mw! Very bright!!! 2" dot at 10 feet
These are nice but may be too bright!Says 50mw but shipped 100mw. I even ordered twice and got 100mw each time.

Get what you pay for
Pros: hey it works. It's cheapCons: Leads reversed. Two pictured but only comes with one. 100mw stated in title but is only 50mw. I'd still doubt it reaches that number.

Not really bright enaugh, inverted polarity.
