The time to review this window vent kit is around £10I had to buy this kit because my air-conditioning unit didn’t have the window kit included, even though it was in the instructions. I supposed to a certain extent I can understand why it wasn’t supplied with the kit because windows come in different shapes and sizes and you need to measure to get the right size kit.Measure your windows carefully as per the instructions in the advert, and then order the size you need for the size, I went for a size slightly bigger as the best match.Unfortunately, the instructions that come with it do not cater for a standard UK window that opens outwards. You will be left with having to use your own common sense of judgement to fit this kit.My best advice on doing this is1. fit it the ‘Velcro’ tale with the windows closed. That way you can ensure the Velcro won’t be in the way when you want to shut the windows later without the cloth attached and2. take your time.There is plenty of sticky back Velcro supplied if you make a mistake so that you can refit another piece.I think for the job it does it’s certainly worth the price is being charged. It’s a decent bit of kit. The material is soft pliable plastic with a zip, it’s wind and waterproof. It’s made of the same sort of material you would find on a perhaps a suit cover, so easy to work with.In the kit are the two pieces already shipped together, a long length of Velcro sticky back to put on the window and some cable ties in case you need them. In my case I didn’t use the cable tiesut handy they were included. Cable ties are really awrkward to undo, usually you end up cutting them off so I went with some more hook and loop / Velcro type tape ..

We don't have UPVC window frames and ordered this for our portable air con unit for the kids during the summer months.The overall zipped window surround is well made but the 3m tape supplied doesn't stick very well at all, despite cleaning with alcohol prior to fitting.Overall, good product but let down by velcro surround.

I ordered this window kit for our air conditioner tube to be placed out of my office window so as to protect against bugs and rain coming in when the window is open with the tube hanging out of it.This solution comes with everything you need (a tube is NOT included - but it will fit to any size of tube as the zips can be zipped around them with plenty of versatility on tube diameter.I ordered the 500cm size as the perimeter of our window was about 440cm - best to measure your perimeter first and check that the size is at least as big so that it fully covers all parts of the window. Our air conditioner tube is approx 15cm in diameter and the office window opens outwards.It took me about 15 minutes to go through the instructions and look at the pictures to understand what I needed to do and install the kit.When the air conditioner is not being used it can be left or if you wish to close the window this can be easily done once the tube has been removed leaving the rest of the kit in place. The zips are secure and hold it in place very well and are also easy to unzip to remove the tube again. Also the kit can be removed by carefully detaching it from the velcro attachments around the window which will stay in place for when you wish to put it back.I am very happy with this - it stops the mosquitoes and other bugs from coming in and also stops the rain coming in too. I happily recommend this great solution for others :)

I ordered this product to use with my tumble dryer as I had to place the vent out of my window in order to use.That was not what the product is advertised for obviously, however it has worked a treat.It is a very well made, sturdy & tough and surprising it has managed to stay put during some really heavy storms.Whilst using my dryer I always found my flat was cold or the doors banging due to the wind so this product has allowed me to avoid all of that and use my dryer when I choose and regardless of the weather.I’m in an upstairs flat and this kit has fitted a small standard open out window, it could fit a larger size window I’m sure but for me I amended it to fit by using the sticky Velcro strips included and attaching the waterproof fabric into that. It has created a good tight bond on the window casing and has as I say withstood howling winds & rain.There are zips on part of the kit so that you can place various size air conditioning pipes or tumble vents out as you simple zip to close.This forms a good tight seal around the pipe.It is a brilliant kit and the quality is excellent I would highly recommend it is great.Everything you need is within the box it is well presented with clear instructions on how to place on different style window openings. And it has a very clean tidy appearance once it is put up.All in all I feel the price point is very fair for the item received.
