A thought provoking easy read
I read this book in an evening. As a mid life woman I’m at the stage in my life where I am looking at how my older years might look and what I can do to stay as mentally and physically fit as I can. This book is well written, easy to read and thought provoking.

Losing the alcohol is gaining a life.
Siena's book is charming, clear, concise and convincing. She covers all the normal topics - health, expense, work, withdrawal, social problems, accidents but the real gold is the glimpses of the person beneath who suffered in childhood at the hands of her mother and started to use alcohol at 18 to self-medicate because it changed how she felt about herself. Therein lies the key to the alcoholic - the problem is drinking to feel better, not for enjoyment or fun with friends. That is the fastest way to make drinking your only friend and companion. I personally think this is a better book than her first but I never drank in bars. This book is the natural successor to the last reason for not drinking in her last book. "No, thanks. I don't drink!"I thoroughly recommend this book especially to those contemplating sobriety. I can also tell you there is life on the other side! Cheers, Siena!

A great read if you’re on the fence about quitting
If you want to give up drinking and need some great reasons to cement your decision, then this is it. Lots of facts and interesting information.I wish the author’s personal story had been more prevalent, although the snippets given were relatable and well placed.

Simple & direct, but good read
This could easily have came across like a preachy book but it didn't to me. Instead I think it balanced perfectly a light-hearted way of writing and the seriousness of the MANY downsides of drinking poison, which should be obvious to us all but clearly isn't. I would definitely recommend it as an eye-opener that isn't too in your face.

Eye opening
I have tried to go sober a few times but this time, reading this book, I feel has really pushed me to the next level. I've tried a couple of books to get sober and haven't managed to finish them, but this was such an easy read, yet so informative and eye opening. I have been sober now for nearly 3 weeks and this book has been a big part of the start of my journey. Thank you Sienna Green.

For everyone sober curious, newly sober & well into their personal journey
Such a refreshing, often amusing and enlightening read. Having been sober curious and just starting my sober journey I read this book. I quickly realised my own knowledge of the harmful effects of alcohol in all our walks of life was a mere tip of the iceberg. This book is so well written it has the perfect mix of information and examples to enlighten, concern and reassure you on every page. The author offers back hope to us all as she also intimates at how almost all the ill effects can be reversed or at least lessened being the one who doesn’t drink and relishes in the JOMO.

short and sweet reminder of why I’m on this journey.
I’ve been alcohol free for almost a year and this book is a quick reference and reminder as to why. Some really scary reminders as to the dangers of alcohol and some new information too. Also some lightbulb moments. Some ailments that haven’t appeared at all in the last 12 months are explained! If you need a reason to never go back, there are 101 in this book.

Many Sobering Thoughts about Alcohol
I like the author's personality. It felt like she was speaking directly to me. It felt personal.Although I already knew most of the facts presented, in the book,I found it to be most helpful in having them all in one place.I like the author's brutal honesty and charm also and I have now become sober curious especially because of this book.

'Safe title', but really is for Alcoholics I think
I love the cover, it is so catchy. I pride myself as a non-drinker, but just wanted to find out if there were other benefits that I can learn about. The introduction is an easy breezy read, casual, non judgmental. There are SO MANY DETAILS in here listing very succinctly exactly "Why don't you drink alcohol?". At times, it can seem droning on and on, but then you can put the book down and return to it later. The effects are actually quite scary and easily overlooked in our lives. I wonder how can one subtlety present this book to that alcoholic friend without seeming too judgy? Well, at least the author has first hand knowledge and bravo for overcoming this vice.
