I previously tried a safety razor that came apart into 3 pieces, you would insert a blade then the whole thing would screw together, it gave a terrible shave and often cuts so i was keen to try this butterfly type instead. I've also tried lots of amazon brand stuff which has always been really good quality at a decent price and this is no different. It's stainless steel and one piece. It does feel weighty in hand with a little bit of a rattle at times due to the butterfly mechanism. To load a blade, twist the base of the handle, then slot a blade over the opening, then twist the handle to close. When inserted there's a huge margin for safety. If the handle is parallel to your skin, it won't shave, slowly tilt up and you can control the closeness. The included blades are very sharp and smooth. Open the wax paper and they feel so smooth i suspect they might even have a thin coat of oil. 1 blade will shave a face twice, for other areas you might get more. For the best shave shower 1st, then wash your face with hot water and get a good lather of shave soap. Of you add a drop of oil (body oil/ skin oil) you'll get a very comfortable shave. When shaving don't press hard, let the razors weight do the work and try to make 1 smooth pass, rather than several little ones. Really good quality, easy to use, and good value to. This will save me a fortune compared to a branded 5 blade razor and gives an excellent shave. Highly recommended. Thank you for reading my review. I hope you found it useful

The razor is fine - it’s a simple design that has existed forever. I wish it was a little less fancy looking but that’s my subjective opinion. Used to be able to buy a cheap plain wilkinson sword version with a black handle anywhere in UK back in the day … sigh…- I used one for years but don’t exist anymore - so I got this one. I tried the included blades once - no good for me - so replaced with Derby blades. Anyone new to this type of razor experiment with blades.

The razor itself is lovely. Nice long handle, nice weight, looks good, convenient opening system. I had to change out the supplied blades a couple of times as it seemed some were blunt.

It’s what to expect from a cheap razor build quality is Ok….. the shave is Ok… the blades are Ok ….it does the job ..but a MUHLE or Merkur totally different class,quality,shave … so as expected you get what you pay for … That said it works, looks ok and will shave you ok so not bad value for money

Really good. The handle and its angle is clearly designed for sensitive skin, which I wasn't expecting. The blades are made in Germany, unbranded Amazon - very likely ‘Croma blades’; excellent for beginners, rather than starting with Astra’s and cutting yourself. I would recommend this to anyone, excellent. Excellent shave wet or dry. Small consistent strokes when shaving, not long strokes - it’s not a 5 blade guys.

My Edwin Jagger de89 had regrettably died... The rubbish metal corrodes and they fall to bits after a year or so. Picked up one of these as a cheap stopgap... And they're actually quite good. The shave is on par with my de89, if not slightly smoother but that be because it's new. Who knows how long it'll last, itlf it's still going in 12m then I can't complain.

Tried this out as my first safety razor and it worked pretty well. Shave was smooth, blades were sharp enough, and it felt nice in hand. Nothing fancy, but good value if you're looking to try a classic shave without spending a lot.

The razor itself is great, I'm loving the shave I get with it. However, the blades that come with it are not worth using. I was cutting myself every day. I've gone back to my trusty Treet blades and all is fine.

Ein sehr schöner "altmodischer" Rasierhobel zum vernünftigen Preis. Mein Mann schätzt das gute Handling und die wertige Verarbeitung so, dass er nur noch diesen Rasierer benutzt.

Pour le prix, je trouve ce rasoir étonnamment agréable et de bonne qualité. Il est fourni avec plusieurs lames et, pendant mes recherches, c’était le meilleur rapport qualité-prix que j’aie trouvé. Je ne le ménage pas vraiment : je le laisse souvent longtemps dans la douche. Après plusieurs mois, je ne vois aucune trace d’usure ni de rouille. Il permet un rasage de très près, rapide et efficace, sans brûlure ni démangeaison sur ma peau. Il faut un peu de pratique pour prendre le coup de main, mais le poids du rasoir aide à guider le geste, sans avoir à appuyer fortement. Pour changer la lame, il faut tourner la base du manche comme une vis. Cela ouvre la tête pour accueillir une nouvelle lame. Les lames s’usent assez vite, après une ou deux utilisations dans mon cas selon la quantité et l’épaisseur de la barbe. Mais vu qu'elles coûtent peu cher à remplacer, ça reste un bon investissement. Le risque de coupure n’est pas nul, mais avec un geste doux et attentif, le rasage se passe facilement. Les quelques petites coupures que j’ai eues n’étaient vraiment pas douloureuses. Je le trouve plus agréable pour ma peau que les autres rasoirs habituels, qui l’agressent davantage.

Eccellente prodotto in acciaio cromato, molto bello e funzionale, meccanicamente perfetto, elegante confezione anche per regalo, ottima funzionalità meccanca per il bloccaggiydrlla lametta.

Una lasadura quasi da rasoio a mano libera per un prezzo davvero irrisorio. Non si potrà trovare nel mercato nessun'altra scelta che abbia lo stesso prezzo e la stessa qualità; l'inserimento della Lama all'interno dell'alloggiamento e guidato. Inoltre il serraggio ben garantito dalla vite; scivoliamo in sicurezza sul volto senza possibilità di tagliarci.

Tres bel objet efficace et trés bon rasage supérieur à bien des multi lames pour bien moins cher. Rasoir lourd en bel inox tres précis. Il suffit de le laisser passer et surtout ne pas appuyer Les lames durent plus d'une semaine. Le seul probleme est l'absence de grip sur le manche, l'inox surtout mouillé ayant tendance à glisser.
