It did a job but it wasn’t what I wanted.
I wanted to change the screw on tyre pump. The length of time to get it in place released too much pressure.I thought that this would work to change over to a thumb lock connection.It wasn’t as good as I would have wanted although it was an improvement.

a worthwhile buy
was going to chuck the pump out after the hose perished but discoverd it was a very good german make so decided to see if i could get a new hose. this one did the trick and hopefully will get another 25 years out of it!

A tight fit
The media could not be loaded. Ok, so it's not that easy to toggle the lever when inserting the adaptor, but there is a solution when you understand what's going on. Unscrew the knurled nut at the top of the hose and you will see a rubber washer, notice how easy it is to toggle the lever now, it will push the rubber seal upwards. Replace the knurled nut and notice how difficult it is to compress the lever, never mind inserting an adaptor in there.When you toggle the lever it compresses the rubber washer to make an airtight seal around the inner tube's valve , so back it off a turn or two until you can insert the adaptor and operate the lever with ease whilst also affecting a good seal around it. Hope that helps, because the item works perfectly otherwise.
