First off the quality of this mount is great. Everything feels like it is made of high quality plastics not cheap, flimsy plastic. The magnetic plate with kickstand is excellent and the best part of this mount. If I can find longer clamps I will continue to use the magnetic mount and kickstand, if able. The vent clamps are short and work their way off of the louvre mounted to. I’ve attempted to use this mount in my Jeep Wrangler JLU, Ram Rebel, and Jeep Wrangler JKU with limited success. When clamped on to the vent louvre there is roughly 3/4” surface of the clamps holding on. Within a few days, or in case of my JLU a few hours, the clamps have worked their way off the louvre and the mount fell off each of my vehicles, while driving and created a hazard. The rest of the mount is excellent. I would like to see longer clamps for this mount and I would give a much higher review.

So far the best cell phone mounting device I have found. I have had to add some anti-slip strip material to the vent louver for the surface is too smooth. This is especially with the "great quality of our roads!" shaking the car so frequently and significantly. One day maybe construction will subside an and we will have true infrastructure upgrade! The grippers have a good winged nut turner that even work for my arthritic fingers. I do need an small robogrip pliers to help me with getting maximum grip. The magnetic base holds my 6" phone very well, but the adjustable support feet on the bottom are added security for holding the phone. When the roads have been successful in shaking the device from the air vent louver the phone still remains on the device all the way to the floor. I found that moving the inner louvers to the left gives me deeper gripping surface which does help hold the device better. I still get some air movement my direction that way.

By far THE best phone holder for the money. Quality aluminum construction and holds tight to the veins of the vent with padded clamp. Magnate holds very well and holder also has fold out fingers to support the bottom of the phone while allowing you to still plug your n the charging cable. Be aware though that the metal plate will interfere with wireless charging if placed to close to the center of the back of your phone. I have placed the rectangular plate horizontally across the bottom portion of my phone case and it doesn’t interfere with wireless charging. If you have a very thin protective case simply place the metal plate inside between the phone back and case. No need to “stick” on. I on the other hand have a thick enough case that it doesn’t hold the phone very well in a bouncing semi.

Brought this for my Galaxy Note 8. It was good while it lasted. Every now and then the phone would fall off because there aren't any guards on the side.One particular day the entire mount fell from the vent and damaged the screw that holds the mount in a steady position. I think this mount will work best with smaller phones. Will not purchase again!

I had a near-exact replica of this item with paddles twice as long. It held pretty well, but needed occasional tightening. One day it cracked while tightening. This mount was the only substitute. Everything else about this unit is suitable. However, it's worthless being that it will not hold on to the fins of the air duct. No matter how tight, it just doesn't stay for more than 5 seconds. Lengthen the paddles and you may have a winner.

Good magnet and holds a 6.5" phone. Clips and the added support "leg" do stay in place on the vents but from time to time it may need to re-check and push in place as car motion and potholes may dislocate/slide-out the clips from the vents.. 4/5 all in all.
