The size
It was great; but the x-large was not big enough. My husband’s foot is extremely WIDE.

Thick Material. Nice Padding. Pricey in Comparison
I love the position of the padding on this brace. I'm just coming out of a walking boot for an ankle fracture, and the padding is in the same place as the boot's air pockets. This is a great step down to get me back to normal mobilization. This padded feature and placement of the padding was a pleasant surprise. I wasn't aware of this and it's nice! That might explain why it's a little more expensive compared to others, but still a bit pricey for what it is.It is a bit tight to get on, especially with a sore ankle, but it quickly kind of settles in, stretches, and feels fine after a few minutes. I cannot fit this with a regular low sneaker, yet. The padding hits right at the top of my shoe and is actually a bit uncomfortable, but luckily it's summer and I'm able to wear other types of sandals. The material is thick but breathable. Overall construction and stitching is good.I still think it's a bit expensive for a padded half of a sock. I like to keep more than one of these so I can always have one clean. After looking a little harder, I was able to find more of the same for a lot less.It is certainly a five star quality product, but less one star for being priced way too high.

High Comfort and Relief, Steep Price
I ordered one of these ankle supports in XL size according to the size guide, and found it easy to put on and align properly when it arrived. Being right on the mark with the sizing, I was at first skeptical of the level of compression that I felt and wondered if I should have ordered a size down, but realized after several minutes of idly wearing the sleeve that the ankle and foot pain I accrued on my shift last night was subsiding. The brace is of a simple construction, consisting of an elastic (and breathable) sleeve with a single seam on the back, and L-shaped silicone pads sewn in on both sides that cradle the ankle bones. As of yet, I have no concern of abrasion, and find the brace very comfortable to wear and walk around in, and the design seems to encourage heightened nerve sensation around supported area.Taking a short walk, the difference in comfort and strain between my supported and non-supported feet is immediately noticeable, with the bare side left wanting and bringing me to my only major complaint:Having looked at similar braces at a couple retailers prior to ordering this one, the cost of this brace is at the very high end of the scale, but includes only a single brace in spite of the aforementioned simple design; similarly-constructed offerings tend to run in the $20-$40 range for a single or sometimes double pack, while $70 or even $60 will get you one brace that would be intricately wrapped, layered, padded, and (if it's your style) laced, while presumably providing greater support. At half the price I'd give 4 stars, and below that likely a 5 for the comfort and quality level, but I think $70 for one sleeve of this type is simply too much.

Terrible packaging, possibly used.
The brace fell out of the box when taking it out of the mailbox because one end was completely open. No seal, no tape, nothing. No packaging inside the box. The brace itself smells weird. And not a "new out of the package" smell. For $70, I'm pretty disappointed.

This product is the real deal, a must have after serious injury
After I fractured/dislocated my ankle at age 37, my orthopedist brother recommended this brand of elastic supports, CEP from Germany and it has made all the difference in my quality of life. The Max Support Ankle version has built in J-pads which wrap around the malleoli and displace inflammatory fluid that would otherwise settle below the ankle joint and cause incessant aching after a day on my feet. 20 years later, I still wear these same supports and I don’t suffer. Each one lasts many years because of their quality materials and workmanship. I heartily endorse them to anyone I meet who has suffered a serious ankle injury and they all tell me the same thing. Even though the joint will never be the same, you deserve not to suffer so much each day. The price absolutely matches the quality and relief you will get.

Helps with planter fasitious
If you have ever had planter fasitious then this is the ankle support you need. It's easy to use and really does make it possible to stand and walk when you injure your foot. The support is comfortable and fits under your socks. The sleeve can fit inside most shoes, the key to make it even more effective is to get shoes that have some arch support. You can use this for ankle support as well. Definitely better than living with the discomfort.

Pretty Good Compression - Side Support Silicone Pads
This ankle support sleeve is described as having Medical Grade compression. I like to wear them in lieu of socks when I am at home for general ankle support and improved circulation. I chose the small size, (per the size table in the description). It fits very well. I feel the effect of the compression without any discomfort. There are silicone inserts along the inside. The shaft comes up about 4-5 inches, (like short socks). It is not recommended to for machine washing. The instructions say to hand wash and air dry. While it is a bit pricey for one sleeve, it does feel like it is providing added support.
