It is a smooth piece of metal that has been printed on. Therefore it is stained glass effect. It is a solid piece of metal. Close up it looks a little naff.The bottom arrives seperated from the base and needs assembly with 3 screws and nuts provided with a mini screw driver also provided. It is a little fiddley to do as the screw are small.The base is metal and has little lumps of weld around it, that haven't been fully smoothed off.However after all thats said and done it is colourful and looks nice at a distance. A Generous 3 stars as the previous reviews had already helped know it wasn't actually stained glass, so the disappointment wasn't there.

When the item arrived I immediately went to double check the description which turns out to be totally wrong and therefore misleading.I love stained glass because I love to see the light come through it. This is a flat piece of metal with the birds coloured by some process but , naturally, light does not penetrate through metal.In the detailed description of construction materials it clearly says glass and metal. Another description mentions the wood plinth. No. It’s metal !!The tiny screws in the metal base are extremely difficult to fit and I couldn’t get the 3rd one in due to tiny misalignment.I gave as many as 2 stars because, in itself, it is quite pretty but I was tempted to give 0 stars, if possible ,due to the misleading description and it should be amended immediately.

This is NOT stained glass or any type of Perspex or plastic so the light won’t reflect through it. It is a piece of cut out metal with the picture of the birds on it. It come with a screwdriver to attached the base to the birds. The base we got had imperfections on it like it had been hit. It’s an ok little ornament but not as advertised.

The media could not be loaded.  This company should be removed from Amazon for misrepresentation. The photos show quite clearly, coloured glass with lead or piped surround and you can see the surface isn't flat on the photos of the item you are buying, due to the way the light shines on and through the coloured glass. I bought this to put on the windowsill so the light would shine through it. I checked the description materials and it said "Glass and Metal" so I went ahead with my purchase, so I could put it on my windowsill and the light shines through the little glass sections of the birds. However, what actually came, was a printed picture of the item advertised, on a shaped metal cut out!!!!! No glass, just a detailed print on a flat metal solid object!!!!!See photos and videos of what you actually get in comparison to screenshots of what's being sold on Amazon.

These are not stained glass. They are colour photos stuck on two sides of a thin sheet of metal. Quite attractive and cheap but not what I was led to believe by the listing.

Very pleased with this item, brightens up a shelf in my living room.

This is just printed metal, bright and colorful but absolutely not stained glass as described. No glass. Should not be sold under the description given.

Cheap and nasty. Poor quality. Its flat sheet metal with a print on it thats peeling off on arrival. The print quality is also of poor standard with bad resolution and blurry image. Not worth 50p let alone the £9 they're charging for this
