Purchased as a cool nightlight / room accessory for my son for Christmas 2015. I've updated this review in October 2017 and again July 2019.Pros:Very cool colors (blue, violet, deep purple, and red) - a nebula on your nightstand; clean design; easy assembly; right-sized; long thin power cord provides flexibility and great aesthetics; durable (still going strong > 3 years).Cons:Discernible hum when lit (light sleepers may have to turn it off at bedtime). Up close, the fit and finish is a tad off - seams don’t quite line up, the plastic looks cheap. However, these issues are not discernible a few feet away.Bottom line:My son and house guests still dig this light after all these years. Paid $25 and definitely got my money's worth in terms of impact and longevity. Still operating > 3 years, and my teenager still thinks it's cool. Score!

I ordered a similar lamp and it cost $48 and has been on back order since Christmas. I finally canceled that order and ordered this one instead (which is about half the price).The lamp provides a beautiful light show. Its fascinating to watch and almost hypnotic. I didn't notice the buzzing the other reviewer noted maybe because the lamp is on the other side of the room. When I walked over to it and put my ear to it, I could hear some type of sound but it didn't register as buzzing to me. It may be I have some hearing loss and someone with better hearing might notice.I was so pleased with this purchase. I ordered one for my niece. No regrets, I really like this lamp.

It is an awesome lamp. I've had it for a while and it still works. It was hard to put in for me but I watched a video on how to put the bulb on and after I watched it it went on with ease. Very pretty blue and makes a light sound due to it being hollow. But over all it was awesome!

It looks like a really nice lamp, but it wouldn't even turn on. I had to return it. Hopefully others who buy this lamp have better luck.

The lamp did not work out of the box, and it was obviously poorly made. I would not suggest that anyone purchase this itemWe returned it and got a refund from Amazon.

I bought this for my son. The colors are not as bright and clear as another style of plasma lamp he has. He still really likes it.

My son loved this lamp, it looks really cool. If knocked over, it breaks very easily because it is glass.
