Half a million miles before the zippers gave out
March 2025: Well, after nearly five and a half years, the backpack gave up the ghost. This thing has been across the country with me multiple times. It's traveled nearly half a million miles with me. Both zippers on the main compartment came off the track and the teeth are worn out. This thing has been through rain, snow, dust, heat, cold, humidity, arid air... It's held up, and NOT ONE RIP OR TEAR, just worn out zippers. RIP to THE BEST BACKPACK I have ever owned.

Worth the Money!
I had my eye on this backpack for a while but was struggling whether to front the money for it. I finally took the step and went for it. This backpack has not let me down at all! It is a top notch day pack. Large enough to fit what you need but not too large to carry. It has plenty of pockets and compartments to fit everything you need. Here are some of my favorite qualities about it:-Concealed carry pocket (Though the material inside the pocket is weak with velcro)-Strap reducers (each strap's excess can be rolled up and velcro'd for a clean look.)-Hidden waste strap (Backpack's waste strap can be concealed, which is awesome since I typically use this for city use. However if I were to go on a hike, this would be the first pack I grab no doubt!)-Zippers are high quality and do not jamLastly this is the most comfortable back pack I have ever owned. The way the straps connect over the neck before connecting with the bag helps distribute the weight over your entire shoulders. The chest buckles helps move the packs weight forward and makes it feel like the back pack is part of you and less of a bother. I have a pretty heaving pack (Books, notebooks, laptop, chargers, first aid, tools, gadgets and full size handgun with extra magazine.) yet this back pack distribute that weight nicely and comfortably! And that is without the waist buckle!Over all GREAT BACKPACK! I have owned it for a week and will update my review if my views change!Update: I’ve had this backpack for two years now and it is still going strong. I still use it on a regular basis and it is by far my favorite pack. No material is wearing or breaking. This thing is top quality!

Favorite Bag I've ever Owned
This has all the right features that looked for. Not "in your face" amounts of Molle, Compression straps, hydration bladder compartment/lockable concealed carry compartment, side pouches, sunglasses case, laptop compartment, tiedown straps, small organization pockets, and the zipper opens all the way down. Durable and breathes, has a stow-able hip strap, chest strap, carry handle. It takes me a long time to find things like backpacks because I need to pick the right one but this one fits the bill. I take this to drill at the National Guard and to work at my office. It fits in both places and gets compliments. It fits anything, I can strap an IFAK to the outside if necessary, as well as pouches, and there are bottom compression straps for attaching things like a sleep system, shoes, extra bag, etc.Not particularly waterproof but no reason you couldn't get a waterproof backpack cover as companies sell. Its an outstanding bag that I would 10/10 buy again.

Worked while it lasted…
For daily use on the job it held up about 1.5 years before the zippers tore. The new version lasted six months. The square corners are the weak link in this bag and for the cost I will not be purchasing another of this design.

We picked out this bag and it is Awesome
My Wife and I were looking at new day hike bags for us and I saw this on a video online. She liked it and we ordered it about the same time I got my Maxpedition. The Cannae Pro Gear Legion is soooo much better than the Maxpedition I got for myself.First off it has plenty of room. Big storage area and logical smaller admin area. No over compartmentalization like on so many "tactical" packs. This one is simple and well built. We have gone on at least 4 hikes using this pack and she really likes it. If it was just a tiny bit taller, that would have been even better but honestly can't complain. Has lots of molle points for attaching other bags so might do that for a easy snack bag for trail food.

It is a good thing that I only bought this as a college ...
It is a good thing that I only bought this as a college pack to stow books and pens in. If I had still been serving in the military (12 years) I would have sent it back. Yes it has MOLLE, some velcro and a grab handle, but that doesn't make it a useful soldier-proof pack. On a well conceived pack I would expect the grab hand to be attached to the upper main body of the pack just about above where the shoulder straps are attached. On this pack the grab handle is attached to the main opening flap - any weight or sudden pressure and I reckon the zipper will fail.Overall it comes across as a town/college pack, not made for throwing around the landscape, rappeling, or receiving the abuse of a deployment. IMHO they have jumped on the gear production bandwagon at the cheap end of the scale.I gave it three stars for "OK" because for my use at college, yes it is OK.....don't fall for the tacticool molle.

High quality build minus the zippers
This has been my do-it-all backpack for about four years now. I've been using it for all daily commuting essentials, a few domestic and international travel trips, beach excursions, you name it. I'm close to giving it 3 stars because for $100+ I would expect it to last longer, but perhaps that's just me being frugal. It's got all the gizmos and gadgets one would desire from a military-styled backpack, perfect size, ideal compartments numbers, comfortable hip and chest straps,, but unfortunately I would likely not consider purchasing it again due to the defective/failed zippers. Both the zippers on the main two compartments have failed in the last year and unless I get that fixed, the pack is essentially useless to me. Cannae, if you're reading this, please fix those garbage zips!
