Good quality freeze-dried raw
I had wanted to try freeze dried raw for a while and when I seen this 750g box from Costa I had to try it. I already fee my dogs wet raw. They have a complete raw diet and have always been curious about the freeze dried stuff. It's well presented and the box is what you'd expect on the shelves of a pet store. The pellets are a good size for most dogs and easy to snap if required.I've ordered it as a treat for them, something to hide about and let them go find, or for training and they love these. It's gone down really well with both my dogs. One thing I cannot understand about this product is the why aspect. 1kg (2x500g bricks) of raw costs me about £2.40 ish give or take depending on brand. This box is over 10x that for less weight. I suspect it's for the people who don't want the blood and smell of raw meat and tripe which I will say can stink at times. But at this price point I just can't work it out. That said about the price point, it's a good quality freeze dried raw and the dogs loved it. So I've knocked it a star for the price.

My dog loves this!
I have an older, small, picky dog who won’t eat hard kibble type food. I prefer her to have a raw diet but as she is long haired with a beard it can be very messy! She also prefers to eat several small meals during the day so I was constantly washing her face (which she hates). This is just perfect; it’s soft pellets, small enough for her and goes the benefits of raw food with none of the hassle or mess.Perfect for travelling - I highly recommend it.

Tasty freeze-dried dog food
My dog loves this freeze-dried dog food so the fact that it is healthy for him is also a major plus.It also doesn't adversely affect his digestive system so I’ll definitely be getting more in the future.

Brilliant food but the price is unaffordable (hence the overall star rating)
I am reviewing the pork variety of COYA Freeze-Dried Raw Dog Food.Quality-wise, this is a fabulous product. It contains 80% meat content combined with 20% fruit and vegetables. It's hypoallergenic and grain-free, which would make it suitable for dogs with sensitive digestions (unless they are intolerant to pork, of course). This food is the next best thing to feeding a balanced raw meat diet. The freeze-dried process maintains the natural flavours and benefits of raw ingredients, and enables it to be stored at ambient temperature, making it a convenient alternative. Even if you feed raw (which I do), this is ideal for travelling as you don't need to find cold storage for your dog food. It's also a lot less messy and can be used for training much more easily. The only downside I can see is the price, especially for large dogs. I have three Boxers and to feed one of my adults per day would require 300 - 315g as they are 30 and 34Kg respectfully. As a box contains 150g, that would work out at over £18 per day EACH! I see that they do supply it in larger bags, which does make it slightly cheaper, but even buying the 900g quantity works out at £39.93 per KG, which would only last me slightly less than three days, so approx £13.50 per day!A difficult one to recommend. If you win the lottery, then yes, I would wholeheartedly recommend it.

Easy to serve
My dog really likes this. I've been slowly transitioning him onto this from his normal cooked wet food and he's taken to it really well. However, I have noticed that is stools are very soft, although that could be to do with his digestive system as there are a lot of things that cause him to have a runny bum. It could also be to do with the switch to raw food as this is the first time he's ever tried it. He's only 9 months, so given this is designed for adult dogs, it could be a bit too soon for him. It's really easy to serve up and store and there's no cleaning up to do so I like it from that aspect.I'll definitely persevere with it as he seems to like it, but for now I'll be giving it him every other day.

The best food we have ever given to our fussy dachshunds!
We have 2 dachshunds that are very fussy eaters. We usually feed them a mixture of kibble and wet food and have tried multiple brands, yet more often than not, they turn their noses up at it—that was until we tried giving them COYA. This is the first food we've been able to put into their bowls that they immediately eat entirely. They love it so much that we have been taking it on walks and using it as treats—they absolutely LOVE it!The most important thing is how nutritious this food is. Its main ingredient is pork (80%), and the remaining 20% consists of various vegetables, fruits, and minerals. While it's inevitable with such good quality food, my only gripe is the price tag. To feed our 2 dogs the recommended amount (morning and evening), we would require 3-4 boxes per month, and at £28.49 per box (at the time of writing, 15/08/24), this just isn't justifiable for us as it's significantly more expensive than the usual food we buy. However, we'll certainly be getting it as a treat every now and then, knowing how much they both like it. If money were no object, I'd move to this food permanently without hesitation. I genuinely cannot recommend trying this food enough if you have a fussy dog!
