For me, it is worth the extra minute it takes to make the turkeys happy and address a problem that has been plaguing them since I got them in June. I have been reading some studies about probiotics use in production chickens and have applied this to my backyard flock on my small farm. I do think that the theory makes sense, and I feel like my birds are healthier. I have also used this on my turkeys and peacocks, and also on my pig when she was sick a few weeks ago! I suggest using a probiotic on your flock, but I will need more time to gauge a change in laying or overall health. I have looked at and tried many probiotic supplements for poultry and I feel like this is the best one I have found. That is due to how it mixes with water and also the mix of strains in it. I did get a free sample of this probiotic from the seller via my poultry meetup group over a year ago, and used it on sick chickens and weak chicks over the past year or so.
