This certainly is edible and isn't poison, however beyond the fact that it probably wont get you sick, the taste is absolutely terrible. It tastes like dirt. I know what Salicornia should taste like as I have been ordering from greensalt.com, but they have run out of stock so I chose another product, and this isn't it. Returns aren't allowed with this product either so don't get stuck with this... move on if your considering purchasing this.

Much more economical than the commonly advertised “green salt.” This is a very fine powder so be careful when scooping it or the dust will easily become airborne. The flavor is slightly salty with an earthy plant flavor below. Very happy and will probably buy again but this should last a long time.
