Destroy Me: Corrupted Royals, Book 1

Oops
This was a pretty good book. I made a boo-boo & read the second before this one so I'm a little out of sorts. Still pretty good but wished there was more. The ending just kinda ended. I'm not sure if it's because there's other books but it just felt like this one was just to get you interested, maybe? I did like how she thought she could stand up to him, even though it didn't last long. Felt like every time there was a problem, it got solved right away. The author warns that there are "triggers" & while I think some were necessary, others I didn't think it needed it. The whole claustrophobic thing isn't really that bad to have a warning. I understand to some it might be but after having read the second, which did need the warning, this just seemed less necessary. There were more pressing matters, like the few obvious typos that someone should have caught. All around not a bad book just wish there was an epilogue. Would recommend but read in order so you can see if it's something you want to continue. On to the next.

It was good
This was the first book I read from this author.. and I would definitely continue. I really enjoyed Misha, but not so much with Abbie and Aurora, they were too prissy and selfish.. I did notice some mistakes as in the characters saying they weren't told something but in the beginning of the book they were told and they said they already knew. Aurora got better for me. In the end I liked it

Destroyed
I love a short steamy mafia romance. aurora is your typical mafia proncess. Man was she in for a rude awakening when she arrived at St. monarchs. Oh and Mischa was a mess thinking he could forget her

steamy and beautiful
I loved the the way I could feel the tension both rivalrous and sexual. It is a truly steamy nail biting good story. The plot is nice and well thought out and the ending was spot on for me.

✮*•✨Holy crap on a cracker, DESTROY ME was UNPUTDOWNABLE!!!! ✨•*✯
And I was all Swoony McSwoonface while I was reading this book and I figured that sleep be damned, tomorrow could manage itself!Michelle Heard has improved on her mafia perfection with DESTROY ME, the first book in her new series, CORRUPTED ROYALS, if I even thought that perfection improvement was possible and OMG, the dangerous and enemies/lovers chemistry between Misha and Aurora was explosive!!! 💣💥 It might have been love at first sight, but deadly family feuds made them mortal enemies which was an understatement!!! Even Ra-ra’s best friend Abbie referred to them as Romeo and Juliet!!!Aurora D’Angelo and her bestie, Abbie Sartori easily admitted that they were pampered mafia princesses even unwilling ones and would have loved an unfettered life. The ironic hilarity was on point as these two soon realised that discipline, defence and extreme hard fitness were soon the order of the day, and that the next four years were not going to be the spa life they thought they were onto! Both girls were fiery, and I loved Aurora’s determination in the face of Misha’s offhand insults and threats.Misha Petrov, Bratva enforcer, and his two best mates were two years into their four year training at St Monarchs. YES, ST MONARCHS, and who do we get re-aquainted with but Carson Koslov and his wife Hailey??? Instructor Nikolai Vetrov was in attendance and Abbie’s huge crush on him was as funny as a fight. But I digress. Misha was a total alpha male and all growly and possessive protectiveness. He has an issue with those who train Aurora and hurt her, and I can tell you now that payback is a troublesome biatch!!!And, and, and!!! Have I mentioned that Ms Heard has taken us back to ST MONARCHS?????? Yes I have, but I can’t even tell you how much I love this mafia world that she has created and how excited I was to be back amongst it. Imagine Carson and Hailey Koslov in their 50’s!!!! The characters we all have loved have become of mature age!!! What a bonus to be here again.I was as happy as a reading clam and I absolutely loved this book!! If you love darkish-mafia-reads, and you don’t pick this book up, then you’re missing out!!! This book needs more than 5-Measly-Stars! To be sure, I can’t wait for the next one! ✨•*

A truthful review
I didn't really like the initial plot, I just read it because I trust Michelle's books, they are always good. I caught myself liking it though. The story happening in St Monarch was really nice, gives a college vibe but in a mafia way.. haha kind of hard to explain. It was refreshing because they do have responsibilities but they are still young and "business" are not being dealt by them. So then, why not 5 stars? 2 things. First: I really found annoying and superficial how Abby and Aurora are always looking for spas, manicures, shopping.. How everything they use are famous brands. I mean, come on! You don't need to mention the brand of what they wear, who cares? That is not the point of the story. With everything happening and the vibe of the book (mafia themes) I found this really out of character. I get that they were rich but still annoying, Abby was worse though, I hope in her book things change. I think shopping was kind of an escape for Abby sometimes but I feel like the author should portray a real escape, something meaningful and inspiring, instead of superficial, and it is superficial I am sorry, shopping shouldn’t be a thing, that is only possible for rich people..Second point: Their intercourses.. Her first time was really intense, the way it happened, how the male character acted, shouldn’t be that way, and all the other times, it is okay to be rough, that is not the point, I just feel like he could be less(?) Less him, what he thinks and does. I am trying really hard to put into words what I think but failing.. You should read to understand, it is not something serious just.. off. I didn't actually liked any of their intercourses.. It would really pass me the message that he didn’t care about her pain and body during it, just after. Also they were actually not really faithful to reality, sometimes..Ah, and also, if you choose to put some phrases in a different language, you must ALWAYS translate it. There was like 3 times that there was no translation and I just kept wondering what it meant, not up to look it up thoughRegardless everything it is a classical one from Michelle Heard, her usual style. For those who don't know her style: Possessive and protectives guys who fall deeply in love right in the middle of the book, safe read, nothing too deep to shock (at least for me).

🖤 Misha & Aurora 🖤
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5/6.🌶️🌶️🌶️/5.This started off literally with a bang and it got me hooked. I loved how Aurora and Misha's connection happened and how felt it was for both of them.I admit i was a bit crossed with Misha but i think he made up for what he said or did. I loved how once he was in, he was in. There was no going back to living without Aurora in his life.I can't wait to read more in this series.

❤
I liked this book, I really liked Misha and Aurora's connection, and how they dealt with things. I especially love how Misha faught for Aurora. Also, I really like how Misha helped Aurora face her fear of closed spaces. While I'm not 100% sure if that is actually helpful as I've never experienced claustrophobia, but I liked reading about it ❤Not gonna lie though, for me the highlight were Nicolai and Abbie's scenes 💕 Absolutely fell head over heels for them ❤Having said all this though, this book was a bit too much of an insta-love for me... One of the major downsides for me was that I felt Aurora wasn't a good friend to Abbie.Other than these two things, the book was really awesome ✨❤

Fabulous start to a new series.
4.5This is the first book in this new series and it was absolutely fantastic. Corrupted Royals is book 1 in this mafia romance book that has touch her and die vibes and protection/ possessive vibes that I loved. After Aurora and Misha. First meet at a night club everything happens with a bang and Aurora can't stop thinking about the dark angel that came back and saved her life. Aurora is a mafia princess that all her life has been very sheltered. Misha. Is a bratva enforcer and she is the enemy. After time has passed they were both not expecting to see each other at the academy.I loved reading about these characters and I loved how much chemistry they had. Michelle has written these characters so great and the connection between them both is sizzling hot. These two are not meant to be together as they are both from rival enemies but they are drawn to one another and they are willing to do whatever it takes. I loved this story line and I was gripped reading this book until the very end. I loved the side characters and I hope Abbie has her own book too. I really connected with the way this author has written these characters and I couldn't get enough of the way they were. This story flows throughout perfectly. This is an enemies to lovers, forbidden romance read that I highly recommend reading and I can't wait to read book 2 in this series.
