I bought them for my 1 and 3 year old. My 1 year old chews and it's very durable. **Q: Can I put warm water in it? What's the max temp it can hold?** A: It is not insulated, could probably fill with water up to 120F but it will not stay hot for long, or is designed for cold beverages. **Q: Is the straw wide enough to drink smoothies?** A: Yeah it seems wide enough for smoothies to me. The bottle's material is good quality, and the customer service is great. The material is greater than the look from the picture. I tested the leak-proof by putting the bottle upside down, and there was no leaking at all. What I love the most is the straw, my daughter can put it down to close after drinking her water, which is very good for hygiene purposes, especially when my daughter is in the environment of many young kids around at the preschool. This is the reason I chose this bottle over other brands. About the customer service, I had a little problem with my item, and Phil was extremely helpful and very patient to help me solve the issue. I'm glad I chose this seller because they put themselves in my shoes as a consumer and do their best to meet my needs.
