Neatec Steam Mop M18C Floor Steamer and Handheld Steam Cleaner(Champagne)

As with the majority of people, I researched into all the different steam mops on the market. All of them seem to have both positive and negative reviews and this can become misleading to people... as you don't want a purchase to end up making you becoming one of the negative reviewers. I found this steam mop and read the reviews (albeit not that many in comparison to other well known makes) and decided to take a gamble - even though £90 is a lot of money!I am so glad I did! The item arrived the next day thanks to Amazon Prime and the box wasn't too big. Upon opening the box, you find the neatly and well packaged steam mop and all of it's accessories. It took less than a minute to make up the main steam mop with the extended poles and the floor attachment attached once it has been unpackaged.I read the instructions and decided (for once!) to follow the recommendations about using de-ionised water to help keep the heating element from becoming caked in limescale. I bought some de-ionised water from a local supermarket for £1 for a 2.5lt bottle and it seems like it will last a long time!I filled up the reservoir, which was an easy task as it clicks on and off with little force and then switched it on. True to the promotional claims, the steam mop heated up within about 30 seconds and upon first use, when you first press the button to release the steam, it makes a sucking noise as the pump takes in the water. The steam mop in action is a dream come true. It's light and easy to use. I wanted it to freshen up the carpets in all the bedrooms and with the carpet glider it does literally glide across your carpets. Other reviewers stated not getting a lot of steam, and at first I thought this was the case too. I think after a few minutes of use, the heating element becomes even hotter and more steam is produced. I stupidly tested this by putting my hand near the steam head and let's just say I ended up with a large red patch of skin! The carpets were left fresh and not wet!I then used it to clean our large living room wood flooring and this too was brilliant. It left the floor visibly damp but this dried within a few minutes and the floor came up wonderfully clean (You can see some of the moisture as the wood floor was drying in the attached photos!). I would probably still use a conventional mop from time to time to get all the muddy foot prints from the dog up, but in-between I'll be using this steam mop to keep the floor clean and sterilised. On one full tank, I managed to clean the large living room wooden floor and then steam two mattresses!This steam mop is well worth the money and you can tell it's a quality item from it's appearance and construction. You also receive a host of other accessories to use.If I could find one complaint, it would be how do you go about buying replacement pads and attachments? As these will over time wear down like any other steam mop. You do get two steam mop pads included though and I'm sure there are non-branded ones on the market! Also on a flat surface, the steam mop will stand up on it's own but on an uneven surface it will need propping up!Highly recommended!

We sent it back! It was terrible, in fact it didn't work at all.

Looks good, has great accessories but could not get a decent head of steam going, just a lacklustre puff then dribbles of water.Very disappointing and I was so looking forward to giving the house a good blast!

I am so pleased with this purchase. I have been testing on windows, floors, tiles and hard to get spaces and it really does work very well. It is very lightweight and the the range of accessories is impressive. It is also very well made - no flimsy pieces at all. All sections fit very well together and easy to take apart and remove different cleaning heads.The extra long cord is also a real bonus. The only drawback is the fairly small water tank but that isn't really much of a problem as it cleans an awful lot before it runs out.All in all well worth the money

So very disappointed. Followed the assembly instructions and this product does not work. Heats up fine but only a clicking sound and no steam generated at all. Demanding a full refund.Don't waste your time.

I searched and reviewed lots of steamers before purchasing this one and I'm very pleased with it. The lead length is perfect for me to get around my rooms without unplugging all the time (as I did with my cheap old steam mop). The water tank is small but this isn't too much hassle to stop and refill. I've worked through my house getting steam clean crazy! (bathroom, the shower, kitchen cabinets, oven, microwave, freezer, laminate floors, wall and floor tiles etc etc. Everything came up lovely like new. Very easy to use and very useful attachments.

tried it on floors and kitchin sink, cupboard doors and cooker hood as soon as it arrived and would highly recommend this steam cleaner....its sturdy and robust (unlike my previous steam cleaner that i was almost scared to use in case it broke as it was so flimsey).........my first thought was that the water compartment was to small but one filling cleaned my kitchin floor ( 11 x 13ft ) and the cooker,plus the cupboard doors ( 11 of them ).I looked at all the steam cleaners on amazon, took me 2 days, before deciding on this one and I am so happy I did

The Neatec mop is first class it does the job efficiently and is better than the more expensive Italian model that I had.
