The getting started instruction are very confusing. Does one have to do anything other than put the pieces together and fill it with water?

Dear Customer, aside from cleaning and putting the jug together it's crucial to follow thorough preparation guidelines of the cartridge before use to ensure all loose carbon dust and air locks have been eradicated. To do this: 1. Remove packaging from cartridge. 2. Fill basin/sink with cold water. 3. Immerse cartridge under water and vigorously shake from side to side for 10 seconds. (you will notice small bubbles rising to the surface of the water from the cartridge). 4. When the bubbles have stopped, remove the cartridge from basin/jug and place in the system. 5. Filter 2 - 3 batches of water through the system to remove any carbon dust from the cartridge (carbon dust can become dislodged during transit). Your cartridge should now be fully operational. Kind regards, BRITACare

Does it comes with 3 free cartridges ? And 1 with jug.

Hi, yes this particular offer is the jug and 3 cartridges. Kind regards, BRITACare

Hi, it says the filter lasts approx. 4 weeks, is this dependent on how many times the jug is filled and emptied i.e. is there a refill limit?

The Maxtra+ filter will last for 4 weeks or filter 100litres of water whichever comes first. This is based on average use in an average water harness area. However, the memo timer will prompt you to change the Maxtra+ after 4 weeks - BRITACare

Is there any tint of colour to the clear part of the jug or is it colourless?

Hi, the jug is colourless. Kind regards, BRITACare
