Great idea, but poorly implemented. There is no logical way to connect the water supply. The inlet is on the bottom of the unit, and when you connect the tubing, it pinches the tube restricting water flow. There are threads, like you could screw on a 2-liter bottle of water, but then how do you mount the control box?Postscript: Now the device is dead. No matter how I press the power button, the lights come on and then it goes to sleep and does not ever water. Very poor product.

still working through it, there was a filter included with no way to attach it? but the pump seems to work as expected and the water lines and hook up were quick and easy.

Motor runs very quickly - Moves lots of water very quickly. I came back and my plant was flooded. The instructions are written in poor english and it gives no guidelines as to how to set it. If you get this product, use it for a week or two before your trip and play with the settings to get them right. Then you should be fine. Don't wait, like I did, til the day you're leaving to start setting this thing up.I

Bought two. One works fine. The other won't change from daily watering, when I needed the twice daily. I'm going out of town soon and don't want to lose my houseplants. By the time I return, it will be too late to get a replacement. This set would be better if it allowed 3-4x per day option, since it doesn't give much water. It was simple to set up, though.

This is for two window boxes / planters on my porch railing. I can't be trusted to remember to water! So I filled up a 5 gallon trash can with a mix of water and some miracle grow (a less concentrated mixture than recommended). I cut all the tubes, loaded the batteries - and it's been going now for well over a week. I love that it runs only on batteries - and it seems quite reliable so far. Will update if something goes wrong.Keep in mind - this is not a heavy duty system - it maxes out at 99 seconds 2x daily. So it's good for my use, but don't expect more. The fact it's entirely portable is very cool in my opinion and the unit appears to be reasonably rain proof - at least if under some cover.

Terrible purchase. Thing is already broken. Never put out enough volume anyways. Don't buy this you won't be pleased. Wasted more money on Amazon

Did it’s job. Buy the better one though, the one that uses batteries AND 110 plug.

It was as advertised except the watering time would be better if it was more than 99 seconds.
