I have gone through MANY coffee makers throughout the years: fancy ninja coffee machines, keurigs, etc. After my 3rd keurig broke on me one morning and forced me to go to starbucks, I knew I was done. I have 5 people in my house that drink coffee in the morning. Went on amazon and looked for a no bells, no whistles, no frills drip coffee maker and came across this one. I use 10 grams (about 2 tbsp) of ground coffee per 2-cup line on this coffee maker, so for a full pot I use 60 grams or 12 tbsp of regular ground coffee (I'm a folgers girlie). Brew time for a full pot is about 5-10 minutes which is perfectly fine. Coffee from this machine comes out HOT and is the perfect strength. Fresh coffee straight from the brew cycle sits around 170 degrees F, and if you leave it on the heater it sits around 170-180 degrees F. No burnt taste until after like 4 hours on the heating burner, which is totally fine. I live with very hard well water so I clean this machine around once a month with water to the 11-cup line and vinegar until the 12-cup line. It has worked perfectly for months and I will never go back to another type of brewer. Drip coffee for life.

Great price for a coffee maker. Well built, works well, it’s quiet and quick. Make sure you don’t forget to turn it off, it will stay on, and heating all day if you forget and the coffee will cook and stick to the bottom of the pot. Has been holding up great for the last 4 months.

This is a very basic small coffee maker. No frills…just coffee. Easy to prepare, easy to clean, 8/10 coffee. Only 1 negative comment: it’s loud as it finishes making a pot of coffee. A loud slurping noise as it’s sucking up the last of the water from the reservoir…an annoying sound at 5:30AM. But I guess for $20, you shouldn’t expect barista quality.

This is a very basic coffee maker. It doesn't have a control panel or a computer. It doesn't think it's smarter than me and turn off when it thinks I've had enough or anything like that. It has an ON and OFF switch. I used a 24 hour timer that I bought online for $6.99 so it turns on when I decide and off when I decide. You can make up to 12 cups of coffee (which turns out to be 8 normal mugs) as weak or strong as you want and the only waste product is a bio-degradable paper filter that was made from recycled product in the first place. This is coffee like your fathers drank before then went to work building the skyscrapers and freeways and utility systems that are the foundation of our society - in Hollynut, Irish Wisk, Basil, Thyme and frillyBisk coffee in an environmentally destructive single serving cup before you shuffle back to the bedroom still in your PJs to continue your career as an "influencer."

Makes good coffee. Easy to use. Nothing fancy, but exactly what I wanted.

makes max two large cups of coffee which is perfect for me and my husband. coffee is always hot and well brewed, just a little thing so it doesn’t take up too much space, and has been serving us well thus far!

Great for coffee and tea lovers, used it up until it broke 😅 Lol it accidentally got overflowed and burned out. Luckily for us, we were gifted a new one for Christmas a couple years ago and still using it 👍 Leakproof if you do NOT overflow it with either too much water or coffee. We put at two medium scoops because the water rises it when brewing.

The coffee maker is of excellent quality. Excellent value for price paid. Works very well, brews hot coffee fast. I love it.

nuevo sistema interior de goteo que me gusto mas que el sistema tradicional ya que moja de manera mas rapida todo el cafe que esta en el filtro, mu practica y facil de usar, queda el cafe a gusto de cada quien.

Title says it all. I got tired of the taste of my Keurig Coffee and I wanted to return to a drip coffee. I live alone and have no use for a large 12-cup Coffee Maker, so the Black & Decker 5-Cup is ideal for me. The 5-Cup Coffee Maker is a great space-saving product as its compact size barely takes up room on my counter top and can be easily tucked away. I have had this for several months now and the coffee still comes out nice, hot and tasty. My only minor gripe is that when you try to switch it off, it shifts easily because it is so light once all the water/coffee is removed. Pretty much 9.5/10, I would recommend this product. UPDATE: It’s almost 2025 and this bad boy is still going strong!! If you have this in your wishlist/cart just get it! 😝

After trying it out, here's what I really liked: The coffee maker does the job very well. The perfect appliance for your morning coffee. However, you should take care to clean it after many of uses if you want to maintain the same performance for a long time. My old coffee maker surprised me by stopping for no apparent reason. So I bought another one to avoid the same problem happening again. Nothing beats maintenance and cleanliness to avoid unpleasant surprises. The appliance is a great addition to your kitchen. I recommend it!
