Mini Bluetooth OBD2 OBDII EOBD Scanner Adapter Automotive Check Engine Light Diagnostic Code Reader for Android

My vehicle: VW Transporter 5.1 T30 2.0 tdi 2011.The problem: Airbag fault (requiring VW reset).I used this connector in conjunction with a free android app (VAGEraseDTCALL) to reset the airbag error code on my van. I knew beforehand that the error was caused by my switching on the ignition without the airbag warning light connected, whilst working on the radio.Safety notice: Only reset these type of codes yourself if you know what you are doing.The bluetooth connector was a little bit tight when it was plugged in, but a reassuring red 'power light' came on when connection was made with the van. Pairing with my Samsung phone was easy and straightforward. I installed, tried and unistalled a couple of other apps which failed to read the error code, before finding the one above.So with regards to this product, I would recommend it. It was circa £10, easy to use with the right phone and app combination and saved me an expensive visit to a VW specialist for a reset.

The gadget works so well and has assisted me to clear several errors. However, when I inserted it on a bmw 5 series and a subaru Forrester I had a hard time removing it from the slot almost destroyed it. A handle to remove it from such slots would make it better.

Used on VW T5 2010. Worked successfully with 3 different Android apps for reading fault codes and various engine management information. Cleared the airbag light, which only came on as the connector under the seat had come loose.There's a lot of choice for one of these, just try a cheap one, they are all based on the same ELM 327 firmware, very unlikely to have been updated from the open code source.My app of choice is Car Scanner, very nice GUI with very customisable dashboard.

Absolute POS waste of money. Does not read codes and difficult to get it to do anything

Works well and pairing is piece of the cake. Leaflet with instructions covers all the steps needed to get it working. Definitely worth buying the Torque Pro app and pair it with this adapter to be able to display all sensors which your car supports.

Works perfectly as described.Used on a 2013 Skoda Fabia no problems to use the Carista and Torque App using Smasung Galaxy S8.Didnt drop connection and was able to complete the operations required.

Can be a bit problematic to pair at first, but does work well once connected.
