Excellent compact unit
Excellent compact unit, fits nicely into the overhead consul in the Defender. Good sound from the forward facing built in speaker. Easy to use and the short cable on the mic is an advantage as it is not all over the place when driving. All in all a great little piece of kit

All round good cb
Very compact unit, good sound out the front speaker and good range. Only dislike is the 'lock' button on the mic mutes all incoming transmissions

Small, discreet, and works.
I bought this radio for my Land Rover Defender on recommendation from Mudstuff as, being small, it fits their aftermarket overhead console without cutting the headlining.I hadn't touched a CB radio since the 70's, and had no real desire to own one now. But being about to join an offroad tour where all the other vehicles would have CB's, I couldn't be left out! This is a discreet unit, without any of the chav-tastic tasteless electronic excess you often see on car radios these days. It looks like a professional business set and so is not an embarrassment to have on your dash.In short, it just works. It has all the features that you need, and none that you don't.The auto-squelch feature is useful and again works, without setting itself so high that relatively weak signals are missed.Audio clarity is good (at least as far as is possible with 27 MHz - you can't break the laws of physics), and the volume loud enough to still be heard in a Defender on a rocky track.I dropped one star as I believe there is one major design defect: The channel up/down and mute buttons on top of the mic are very easy to accidentally press when replacing the mic into its holder. On two occasions I muted the radio unknowingly, then was left wondering why no one would talk to me any more!If anyone else has this problem there's an easy solution: Open the mic case and cut the black and blue wires where they attach to the push-button PCB. This permanently disables all the top buttons, without affecting any other operation.
