#1 framing gun
Hasn't even let me down once put close to 5000 nails through it. Heavy? Sure. But considerably lighter than any one I have used that needs to ramp up. This gun fires clean and consistent. Absolutely the best nail gun I have ever used. (I own a 16, 18 gauge paslode, a bostitch 21 framing, the ryobi 18 and 23, a 16, 18, 20 craftsman, and the 15 metabo)

2 open box shipments.
I know this nail gun is a great tool. I’ve used it many times. So I ordered one. First one would not fire. They sent another. Same problem. Was it me NO. I went to Lowes and got one. Perfect nailing out of the box. Beware of refurbished crap.

Great gun, minor issues.
Have had zero misfires or hung nails out of a box of 750 I just used on a deck. The 3 amp hour battery had me concerned about how long it would last before needing a recharge but it chugged through hundreds of nails. In addition the battery charges fast with the included charger so downtime is minimal (although I did just buy an extra battery so I can just swap out. Only complaint so far is that the 'depth' adjustment isn't always consistent. Once it's fired a few nails it seems fine, but I've definitely had a few where it just doesn't penetrate as well and I've had to hammer in that last tiny bit. Lastly, 21 degree nails aren't as common as others, but if you're in a pinch harbor freight carries them at a decent price and I haven't had any issues running them through this gun.If you're switching from an air gun just be prepared for the additional weight. That's the case for all cordless nailers but just take it into account as your wrist and forearm will let you know about at the end of a long day.

Love it
METABO HTP is really crushing it with this MultiVolt system of tools. My "Most important" needs are Quality, Durability, Warranty & Price point... this framer is a boss. I hope that they'll continue to produce this quality of tool for the money. I'm thoroughly impressed; they've gotten all my business in the past two years. Eight tools, two years so far and not a single complaint.

Open box again.
This happens far too often. I can opt for open box and get a discount or new and pay more. I usually opt for new because open box can mean anything, pristine to parts missing and or broken. As nailers can be touchy and easy to screw up if you don't know what you are doing, I want new, untouched, unopened, unjammed, undropped, etc. What I got was a box taped every which way, manhandled in shipping, and obviously used and abused. Looks new but loose in the box and looks like someone could not figure out how to work it (god forbid you read the instructions) and forced the power on button. This review should be about the nailer. I love my other Metabo nailers and hope to find this one as good, reliable and competent as the others. Sorry I have to give it a low rating based on out of the box impression that wasn't Metabo's fault.

Super strong
This thing a powerful and feels well built. Not sure about commercial use because I don’t do that, but for around the house projects perfect!

Convenient
Bought this and a makita to metabo battery adapter. Handles 16 penny, 8s and ringshanks just fine. Battery lasts long (I’m using the makita 5.0 batteries) marginally slower trigger response than an pneumatic. It’s marginal. Could for careful nailing like siding, not the best for production framing. But it’s nice to not have to set up a compressor, hoses etc. very time efficient. Time is money! Worth it in my opinion for small jobs, decks or places where cords are not practical like roofs, trusses rafters etc. the only negative thing I have to say is it has an on button you have to press for like 1.5 seconds and it’s on a timer so it will shut off after a while. It’s annoying when you’re holding heavy material and need another hand to press the on button which is far away from the trigger.
