The Plant Propagator's Bible: A Step-by-Step Guide to Propagating Every Plant in Your Garden

Been a go to book this entire season. I’m constantly going back to it to get information. Opened up a whole world of possibilities and the money saved from not purchasing new plants is a great bonus.

What a great book! I borrowed it from my daughter who borrowed it from a friend, now all three of us have their own. What a great reference guide! Well written and illustrated

Very instructive step-by-step guidance with pictures. Beyond pleased with this purchase and have already had success with techniques.

The first time I read this book it was after checking it out from out local library. I loved it and wanted my own copy so I ordered it from Amazon. It was under rewrite and took about 4 months to get delivered. As soon as I got it I sat down and reacquainted myself with the individual chapters. Then about a month later I saw it come available through the Vine program and ordered it immediately. Now my only problem is trying to figure out who I want to share the book with. It's a great guide for a novice but is also a nice casual read for the experienced gardener. I just hope whoever I give it to will cherish it as much as I do. What a pleasant conundrum. Highly recommend this book for any gardening enthusiast. Would make an outstanding gift for your gardening friends.

I love this bible for propagation it teach you from start to finish how to create your new plant.

Basic and generic info on propagation. Not much fruit specific but still useful.

Our son-in-law has really enjoyed trying to propagate plants. He really seemed pleased with this gift (and I’m hoping to reap some of the rewards of giving it to him).

As with previous reviewers I have many books on plant propagation and I must say this is certainly not the most helpful.There are of course the various propagation methods described and illustrated clearly but the plant list at the end of the book is extremely limited.Admittedly plants are listed on the side of pages where various propagation methods are described but this is not as helpful as looking up the plant by name directly.For example the huge and very popular genus 'Phlox' is not mentioned in the plant list at the rear of the book.Sadly this is only one of many plants 'families' missing.This is the part of the book which describes the suitable propagation methods for various plants and also why some methods occasionally fail. To give the book some credit the propagation methods are described clearly and illustrated well.However throughout the book the illustrations are quite sparse.Compare this to the RHS'Propagation Plants' book which illustrates a lot of the plants being described.Also this same guide covers the plant world much more comprehensively. So its o.k. if you are totally new to propagation.But if you are a 'seasoned' gardener like me you might prefer something more comprehensive....such as the one mentioned above.

I had hoped for a guide to using my electric propagator, what to plant and when. Instead, an encyclopaedic guide to propagating all kinds of plant. So. my basic question, "What can I plant in my propagator now?" went unanswered. A good book for a better gardener, not so good for the world's worst.

Arrived quickly ,and for the quality and imfomation given in this great book i was surprised at the price. Great book for begginers and so easy to read. Would reccommend most definatly
