Of course coming in its own dish really adds to the product. I just place the whole thing in my bowl of warm water along with my brush and razor.....leave for a min and bingo its ready to go. No need to return for a second or third reload the brush is set for the whole of the shave.The smell is fantastic and not too strong but lingers which is great for me. Being triple milled and in soft water (so not much work needed on the soap) i expect this to last at least three months if not more. Soap scent is powdery, but nice, and not cloying or too persistent after shaving. Not the best lather, though -- seems thin, and doesn't stand up and lubricate overly well. I get about one pass on half of my face done, and then I have to refresh the second half to complete that first shaving pass. The second pass, I brush on a thinner coat on only half my face, shave it off and then brush a thin coat on the other half of my face. It works, I'm happy with it. It isn't as lubricious and tenacious as Mitchell's Wool Fat, but its good and fun to use the container. The container gets slippery, so be careful. I leave it on the counter/sink and don't pick it up until after I'm done shaving, and rinse off the foam overflow. I bought this soap just to get the nice ceramic/china shaving bowl, thinking I'd just put a different soap puck in it after I used the original. Dazu nehme ich oft die Gillette Rasierschäume. Wegen eines Hinweises auf den Bestpreis hier bei Amazon habe ich mir die Seife mal mit Pinsel bestellt. Als ich das Paket öffnete, war ich baff. Alleine die Optik mit dem Kästchen aus weißem Leder macht echt was her. Luxus und edel pur. Die Seife duftet wunderbar herb und männlich, aber schön dezent. Das Schälchen aus weißem Porzellan wirkt sehr edel. Eingebettet in schwarzer Seide. Top. Selbst wenn es bei der Rasur nur Mittelmaß wäre, würde die Optik schon den Kauf rechtfertigen.Aber auch bei der Rasur ist die Seife eine Wucht. Sie lässt sich leicht mit dem Rasierpinsel aufschäumen und sich sehr gut im Gesicht verteilen. Es erfrischt die Haut ungemein, gerade wenn man warmes Wasser für den Auftrag nutzt. Die eigentliche Rasur erfolgt völlig unproblematisch. Im Unterschied zu den teuren Gillette Rasiergelen wäscht sich die Seife sehr leicht aus dem Rasierer aus. Ohne Hilfsmittel und auch bei geringem Wasserdruck.Fazit : optisch der Hingucker im Bad wegen des weißen Leders. Sehr edel verarbeitet. Äußerst angenehm auf der Haut. Dezenter Duft.
