I connected this to a 4.3 amp Fantastic RV fan to save energy. However now the motor whines at low speed at the PWM freq. How can I stop the noise?

You might cure that with a capacitor with a voltage rating higher than the supply voltage, and perhaps a capacity rating of 100 mfd. This capacitor type is polarity rated, so you would need to put it across the terminals going to the fan in way you are supplying the voltage. You would also have to be sure not to reverse the power to make the fan go the other direction. capacitor could probably be as low as 20 mfd. It can be placed anywhere in the line, or right at the fan. The capacitor should smooth out the chopping voltage. As scott says, it might not list to run on low power.

No. Your scooter will require a controller that will handle at least 25 amps (the formula is 300 watts, divided by 12 volts, equals 25 amps). This controller is rated at 3 amps continuous and 4 amps peak - at 12 volts that's only 36 watts continuous.

Actually - No, not if it's something you want to ride on. The circuitry in this is simply not heavy duty enough to handle that kind of load or that large a motor. This circuit is intended for something on the order of a toy motor, no more than an amp or two at most.

Perfect for Model Railroading

I bought this to make my own handheld N scale throttle (old school DC) I put it in a very old Radio Shack experiment box. It works perfect and center off switch is really nice when doing slow speed switching

Worked Perfectly!

This is quite a bit of electronics for the price. I used this to cut down the speed of a motor I use to drive a small rock polisher. It works perfectly. I really appreciated the graphics on Amazon that show how to wire it up as it did not come with instructions on how to wire it. But, as I said, there is a great picture on the Amazon page that clearly shows how to connect the wires.
