As always, another brilliant book from Jill Mansell. It is romantic, dramatic, funny and an easy read. The characters are great, even the annoying ones! Highly recommended.

This is a lovely read. Great writing, great characters, believable plot and a happy ending. It was warm hearted and charming. I'll look out for more from this author.

This was really just a Rom Com but had good characters and was easy reading. Lots of unlikely events and coincidences but I enjoyed it. The sort of story you need when you've had too much of the depressing ones.

Such a heartwarming read. The thing with Jill Mansell books is they are the literary equivalent of a blanket and hot chocolate. Relatable and likeable characters in gorgeous settings and very traditionally English, you can almost smell the frosty air and damp country lanes in this one!Bittersweet at points but a perfect companion for my holiday this week. If you’re a Jill Mansell fan, you’ll love this.

I am quite a Jill Mansell fan and I have read quite a few of her books. She never disappoints me. They are feel good romantic books with nice characters and I enjoy the read.Bravo once again for this lovely book!

Jill always writes a fun novel. A pleasure to read.

I am not the typical reader of chick-lit romance novels, Mansell's protagonists being of the other sex & with lives that appeal to female readers. However, Mansell's combination of likeable heroines, the vicissitudes of their romances, & scoops of slapstick comedy have led me to read a dozen or so of her novels. Her characterizations are good enough so that I can tell them apart, but there are the stock handsome men whom Laura finds irresistible, despite her history of bad judgement about the opposite sex. Which one of these devastating hunks might prefer our Laura to beautiful babes? Mansell juggles twists of plot in which all seems lost, until, presto, someone rights & refills the apple cart. Add a reclusive, rich old curmudgeon & a homeless Chihuahua who distrusts, if not detests humans, & the result is a tasty, bracing tea, English style.
