We are big on open-ended toys and these are perfect for my older kids (8,10,12). The colors are bright, the pieces are sturdy and uniform and they don't take up a lot of storage space. My 3 older kids can all play together at the same time and there's enough pieces in this one pack they don't usually fight over them. I love seeing what they come up with and they love using their creativity with these. Definitely small enough to be a choking hazard if you still have kiddos that put everything in their mouths, so be aware of that. Otherwise, we love them.

I purchased a neon set of Plus-Plus pieces for my 10-year old son at a toy store while traveling. He had been growing tired of legos (and I was tried of stepping on them) so we were on the hunt for something new and entertaining. They're so fun! He instantly loved them and wanted more so we bought this basic assortment set on Amazon. There is a definite difference between the neon and the basic colors. The basic colors snap together much easier and allow him to work more quickly when creating. Both sets snap together to expand his collection. Each set comes with a sheet that gives some fun ideas for kids to build. I got down on the floor and had fun creating as well. I love that these store quickly and easily and are great to take with us when traveling. Within minutes, my son had created a fun pair of glasses. He yelled for his sister (12-years old) to join in and they both had a blast talking and creating while I was able to tackle my endless mom-duties. Win-win.

I work in outpatient hand therapy and I love having my patients put together and build this puzzles. It’s easy to clean, has just enough resistance that they have to really use their finger tips and I bought the primary colored one for more visual contrast. Great little puzzle to work your fingers. 👌

Years ago I got an amazing product for my classroom called Snap Art, which was sadly discontinued. I've been looking for a comparable product for 15 yearsThese are sort of close. Easy for the kids to build with, allows for open ended play and experimenting with shapes.Not as versatile as the other manipulative was, but the kids like them.Wish the price point was lower, or the piece count higher. But if you're looking for building toys for elementary age, the kids really enjoy using them!

Found these at a little local toy store and got on Amazon to increase the supply. They're perfect for kids who like to use their imagination but what I really like about them is that for my special needs child who has fine motor issues, these really work his little hands without him knowing it. They are tiny pieces so I don't recommend them for little kids who still put things in their mouths. The small size also makes them easy to take with you on the go. I have a bag of sensory toys and things to keep my kids busy while we're waiting at a restaurant or the doctors office and these go in that bag.

My kids love Plus-Plus. The neon colors are really fun - and I'm not typically all about buying pretty much anything neon. These pass my personal arbitrary preference test for engaging and not obnoxious neon colors.They are fun to snap together and take apart; they are equal age-opportunity toys and are fun for my children ages 4, 6, and 9. The pieces seem to be made of a very high-quality plastic that is pleasant to hold and manipulate.They come second in our house only to a first-place tie of Lego and Playmobil. The nice thing about Plus-Plus is that you can put them into a reasonably small bag and take them on the go much more easily than a pile of Legos.This seems like a great gift idea for any child who already seems to have everything else. My child discovered these at a STEM festival, I could not pull him away from the station. I purchased him some for Christmas and it was the thing he played with the rest of the day. My child is 10 years old and these engage his creativity and engineering skills. I also purchased these as a gift for my 9-year-old niece and 6-year-old nephew. They both enjoyed playing with them. These can be used to make simple flat designs or complex multidimensional creations. My son is a big fan of stackable interlocking bricks, these offer an alternative that stimulates the brain. We took LEGO bricks on a recent road trip and found the sound of them to be annoying after a few hours. These are super quiet, we are looking forward to taking them on our next trip. I highly recommend these for all elementary age children.
