I have been searching for a replacement for my Cantu wax stick since finding out it was discontinued. At first I was going to trash this because it was too thick and left white waxy residue on my hair. I got a clear gel that I lightly put on first then used this stick to smooth and seal the gel. You gotta gently swipe on your edges then take your fingers and spread it out since its so thick and put on a silk scarf to lay it down for at least 30mins. I just put it on before I leave for work (50min commute) once I get to work I take it off and my edges are smooth stay laid until I get back home which from start to finish is 8am-6:30pm. Multiple steps but not as terrible as I initially thought.

My daughter has really frizzy hair that tangles super easy. Unfortunately we brush it during the day, send her off to school and by the time she comes home her hair is a frizz ball and is completely tangled. It takes 1 hour to brush her hair every night and it causes a lot of pain and arguments. I tried everything else under the sun - detanglers, leave in conditioners, regular conditioners, hair gel and hair spray. None of them worked for either the frizz or hair tangles. I tried Brazilian chemical hair straightening 2 times In both formaldehyde and non format and her hair went back to normal after 2 weeks so we didn't feel it was worth the time and stress of sitting through that for 3 hours. Hair straightening was the best fix but her hair would curl up in the humidity throughout the day and the heat was damaging her hair - causing more damage and split ends and ultimately worse frizz and tangles over time. It was becoming a lost cause - until this. In my 33 years of life I never heard of hair wax. I found it randomly while searching Amazon and decided to give it a try. Wow! It worked as a detangler, and it was very easy to apply it and braid her hair. She slept on it and it looked great in the morning after bedhead. She went to school and came home and it looked great! Very smooth and sleek and only the tiniest little frizz above her ears. Lastly my daughter can brush through her hair herself for the first time in her life at the end of a long school day and there's no screaming or arguing. Ps. The smell is amazing and the ingredients are minimal and natural. I also wouldn't be surprised if the product is protecting her hair from the sun since it creates a wax barrier. I am honestly so incredibly grateful for this product and could go on and on. This truly is a miracle for my family. Thank you!!!!

so i figured after getting this stuff would the good reviews on it, that this would be great for my baby hairs. the thing is its like chapstick where you should be able to swivel it up and down like that. and it doesn't it's pretty low to the rim to where i gotta stick my fingers in it to use it. and even that doesn't really do anything. i feel like i wasted my money and it's just sitting in the bathroom, wasting space. i don't think it gives off any smell when i do take the cap off, and it's pretty small where im sure a little goes along way... i give it to stars only being that i actually received it. and i'm sure it works great if i could only use it.

This really helped my wig lay flat, even when I have thick braids underneath it! So yes I would definitely buy this again!

The media could not be loaded.  I was a little skeptic at first because it is a very easy applied looser type of wax stick and I thought it would make it oily. In the video I used the afola on the right and my normal edge booster stick. The afola left it FLAT and gave it a nice sheen without making it look oily. Tamed the fly aways and didn’t really leave a separating strand look like the other side. This is definitely a nescesity for getting a flat wig. But don’t over do how much you use! A little goes a long way and again it is like butter when it applies. But great!

It took me a while to figure out how to use the wax stick since there was no turn thing at the bottom to push the stick out further and my product came a little dinted but that doesn’t take away the fact that the product is very good.
