I ordered these door stopper wedges to wedge the doors open because we have two adopted cats that need to have the full run of the house. These door stopper wedges keep slipping on the laminate floors, despite the fact that it states in the advert that they are suitable for wooden and laminate floors. It’s not because the doors are too heavy because they’re only light, but it’s because the base of the door stopper wedges is not designed to obtain a firm grip on laminate flooring.To summarise, the door stopper wedges are extremely durable and would be more suited for use in carpeted properties.

They are slightly cumbersome and don't have a stylish finish

The door strippers I had used for years gradually stopped working properly. My doors are only light weight, but frequently, and annoyingly, the old door strippers would just slide along the floor pushed by the door, even on carpet. These work on laminate flooring and carpet.

Holding open doors, my husband also uses them in his garage.
