MerrellWomen's Moab 3 Mid Waterproof Hiking Boot

Best shoes ever
I bought the boots for an Iceland trip in June. The best preparation I have done. We ran into two days of heavy rain and strong wind, climbing rocky terrain, shopping on the regular street, long walk every day. I was concerned at first because I didn’t have time to break in but so please to find that it is the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned. The toe box is wide enough for the large bunion and the support is just right. The waterproof must be decent because my feet were dry even in the down pouring rain. I bought the regular width at size 7.5. and now I have to buy for my family.

Great shoes for hiking and more! All weather, year round shoes!
Love these shoes. This is the second pair I bought. I hike with my dogs nearly daily and they work great in all types of terrain and weather. I wear them year round and I live in the Midwest where summers are hot and humid and winters are very cold and snowy. The have good traction. They give my foot the support it needs, even though I am flat footed. The color is neutral and works well with any active outfit I put on. I would like to wear them everywhere, but in my business they are probably not work appropriate. I ordered my regular size and they fit perfectly. They are light weight, but yet of high quality. My last pair lasted me about 5 years.

Was going to return it, but it grew on me.
Hi, my Keen Targhee 2 hiking boots got snagged and I needed a replacement. I wanted a sturdy boot with good support. I needed less sturdiness, but a lot of support and impact absorption, as I had injured my ankle and needed some "give" and not something so snug. I heard these Merrills were super popular and with less sturdiness and ankle support, exactly what I needed at this time, so gave the Merrills a try. I bought granite as everything else sold out in my size (8 wide) around the holidays. When I first looked at the Color granite, it looked "boring sneakers" (especially with the Blue jeans I wear) and not my typical Brown ones that just screamed "hiking boots" with more flash...what I usually wear. These Granite colored ones looked like very low key sneakers, the other Merrill Colors scream more of typical hiking boot, most especially the Brown ones like "Bungee cord" or "Braken Purple". anyway, I was going to need these boots, most especially to wear on my other uninjured foot to provide some rock solid support and stability. What really pleased me was unlike the Keens, these were so much lighter, almost like I was wearing nothing at all. They are waterproof, and really worked out when I was watering the plants on the patio with a leaky water hose. Because they provided the support, grip (the special Verbam sole did not slip at all anywhere!!), were very lightweight, easy on my overworked foot, and I had to wear them everywhere I walked, I appreciated that the Colors were more muted. So, it worked out well. I was pleasantly surprised and pleased. These are great everyday "shoes" (hiking boots with give on the ankle, that looked like GREAT SHOES with no slippage, great absorption of Impact, and lots of stability), I appreciated being able to wear them everywhere and it provided all the stability, lightweight, waterproof, non-slippage, and Impact absorption. I needed for my overworked...one working foot, as my other foot healed in a cast. I felt no hesistation using these with crutches all the time. After over a month of using the boot so much, it still feels as good as day one. This speaks to the quality of craftmanship. Incredible. Mind you, I never used these boots on the trail. I'm looking forward to in hopefully a few weeks. I will probably walk on a flat trail with minimal rocks, and I'm sure these will work out and be perfectly fine. Thank you Merrill for such fine footwear.

Great foot support
It took me 3 weeks to decide on a hiking boot because this summer I’m going to be climbing a lot. I picked these because they are waterproof and a lighter weight I anticipated which is a plus. I am a size 9 and 132lbs, 5,7 and these fit great and have good foot support. I wish the light blue ones were available but settled for the brown ones.

Good quality and fit but not exactly what I need
The first thing I noticed when I got the package was it looked like someone's kid doodled on the shoebox. No big deal. The shoes were in good condition but had some white marks on the bottom, making me think that someone tried the shoes and returned them. Also no big deal. I tried the boots myself, and I feel the fit is actually good if you tie the laces correctly. I bought a half size bigger than my normal size. The shoes are light on my feet. However I tried other brands and prefer a different boot for my future trip, so will return these. Also I prefer boots not made with animal leather

Wiggle room for wide feet
Wow! Bought these on sale. I like a little wiggle room in my toe box and read that these ran wide but I order the wide just in case. I was not disappointed. I also read that they were comfortable right out of the box and I have to confirm that that is true. I went on a short two mile with them to test them out and they fit like a pair of well worn shoes! Lots of wiggle room for my toes, amazing ankle padding and arch support. Of course everyone's arch support needs are different but for my foot, these hit the mark. Plenty of room to wear with thick socks. True to size.

Nice boots
So far I’m impressed with these boots. Have taken them on a couple of short backpacking trips and worked outside around the house in these quite a bit. Got a half size bigger and the wide width just to give myself more room for hiking and working and so far I like them and they are very comfortable.

Love these Merrells!
These Merrells are awesome! They are so comfortable! They run about a 1/2 inch, however. I wear a 7 or 7/12 wide, and I purchased the 7/12 W. They fit fine, but I can't wear a Darn Tough sock with them.
