Great Boot!
These boots are very light-weight with practical inclusions (tread, hidden pocket) and very flexible. If you are going to be in wet conditions, treat these as tennis shoes. One thing I recommend changing is the insole. Its purpose is to not add any weight to the boot, and with that you will get minimal support. I've had boots of this type before, and the insole always goes out within a month or two. Speed laces work excellent, and if you do not feel like paying 5.11 $10 for the orange blood type patch, just take the plain black patch that comes with the boot to an embroidery and you can get it done for a couple bucks if not for free.*5 Months Later*There is a serious issue with the design of this boot...I will submit a few photos that details everything. The rip-stop nylon (the thick, tough material that covers the front and rear of the boot) acts as if it is a knife by slicing through the softer, lighter nylon. I've worn these boots 5 days a week WALKING ONLY since I made the post; no running, climbing, or kicking. There is a hole making its way in on the sides where the rip-stop tapers off. It is big enough to put my pinky finger through, but might actually still be fixable. The good part is that other than that, the boot has held up remarkably well. Tread has shown NO signs of wear, and with the wipe of a damp cloth they still appear new. The shaft of the boot is still sturdy as they day I bought them, and the hidden pockets have had no ease in it after 5 months of carrying a boot knife daily. The drawback of this boot is that point where the rip-stop and regular nylon meets, as over time it will cause a tear. -2 stars.*1 year review*After using these boots for one year, I can no longer recommend these to anyone. I have only walked around normally in these boots, no running, climbing or anything of that nature. The ripstop nylon is deteriorating rapidly, and even though it is promoted as the best thing about these boots, it is the major drawback. These boots have never been in any rain conditions other than what you would experience walking outside in the rain for a few minutes. The regular nylon portion of the boots holds up very well, and that is about the only good thing I can say. Other 5.11 products seems to hold up very well, even under the elements but these boots cannot hold up with normal walking. If you are going to be doing any physically demanding work (CQB, repelling, climbing, competitive paintball) stay away from these.

I've finally found the boots I've been searching for
Over the past few months I have been searching for a good boot that isn't too bulky, provides excellent support, and is lightweight and comfortable. Doesn't seem like too much to ask, yet I have gone through several pairs without getting what I wanted.5.11 has changed all that. Finally here is a boot that fits like a sneaker, provides the traction and support you need, and is comfortable as heck!Pros:- very comfortable right out of the box. No break in needed!- light weight. Feels like your favorite pair of sneakers.- durable construction. A lot of thought went into the design and materials.- great tread. Not hiking aggressive, yet certainly can get the job done.- superior ankle support without being stiff. Easy to move in and you really feel like they have you covered.- speed laces work very well. They come laced up, just remove the packaging and you are ready to go.Cons:- not made for thick socks. These fit to size with regular socks. Don't expect to be able to double up or wear thick boot socks without being a little crowded.I wore these all afternoon and during a long walk with the dogs as soon as they arrived and I could not be more pleased. A job exceedingly well done by 5.11UPDATE - 12/2/13After wearing these almost exclusively for a couple of weeks I have to say my initial impressions are spot on.Comfort is superb! The insoles are superior to any boot I have owned.Durability appears good. So far no issues at all.Worn aroud town, in the woods, on the beach - no issues at all. Truly a superior boot!

GREAT BOOTS!!!
I bought these because I am taking the EMT course. I have only used them for my classes which are a few hours and then a few 24 hour shifts. Overall they are great boots! What I love most about them is that they are lightweight compared to other service boots. They have stretched out well were they need to and I could wear them for days. I was hoping these would be a lightweight boot since I am a sandles girl and they are! I love that they have a knife pocket. My service does not allow any carry of weapons but the pocket is key for to carry a knife for my own security. Policy wont save my life if I was in a situation, only I can (I really really hope I will never need to use it lol). Overall these boots are great! Some reviews said they dont last more than a year. IMO spending $150 on a great pair of shoes per year is totally worth it! I am so happy with my purchase! I might buy another in case they change the style :) I think I order 1/2 a size up to be sure they fit and I was right but I have wide feet :)

The boots look and feel great once you get the right size
I first ordered the boots 1/2 size bigger based on other reviews of being too small. Well...they were still too small, so had to return and go up another full size, so 1.5 size, a round 12. My dress shoe is usually 10.5 sometimes 11. So...yes, order 1 size larger. The boots look and feel great once you get the right size!

These boots are amazing! They are super comfortable and lightweight
These boots are amazing! They are super comfortable and lightweight. It doesn't even feel like you're wearing boots. My only complaint is that the sole tends to separate after about a year of use. I've had a few pairs of these and will continue to buy.

My second pair
Well I'm now into my second pair. I would say they last about a year of heavy use.Like 10+ hours a day 6 days a week.Standing, walking, running, driving.I really enjoy the fact that they kinda look like shoes when you were pants.

Preis/Leistung schlecht
Prinzipiell guter Schuh, leider sehr schnell kaputt gegangen. Doe Schuhe waren nach nicht mal 3 Monaten Tragedauern zum wegwerfen. Für den Preis nicht zu empfehlen.

Brilliant.
Probably my favourite pair of boots I own. These are extremely comfortable, and are low-profile enough to wear while driving or performing tasks that require more delicate footwork. All in all, very satisfied.

Superb
By far the best lightweight hot weather boot available, literally like wearing a boxing boot

Einfach top
Der Schuh ist genial. Super leicht, total bequem.
