My kindle is the greatest accessory I own. I just wanted something simple that I could read my books on. This kindle absolutely delivers. It's lightweight and compact. About the size of a paperback book. The backlight works fine, the page turn works. There's no fading or ghosting or whatever it's called, when you turn the page but the last page's words are still there. I've had this kindle over a year and never had an issue. It goes everywhere with me.

I bought the 2022 base model Kindle because I just wanted something basic for reading, and honestly, it’s been perfect. The screen is super clear now with the higher resolution, and books look way sharper than I expected for the cheapest model. It’s easy on the eyes too, even after reading for a couple of hours.It’s small and light, really easy to throw in a bag or just carry around. Battery life has been great - I’m reading almost every day and still only need to charge it once every couple weeks. I’m also glad they switched to USB-C so I don’t have to carry an extra cable just for this.Only thing is it doesn’t have waterproofing or the fancy warm light that the more expensive Kindles have, but for just reading books, I don’t miss any of that. If you just want a simple Kindle that does its job really well, this is a great option.Amazon tries to get you to get books from their store that have DRM, but remember that you can use Libby to borrow library books and Calibre to sideload books that you already own, or acquire through other sources or stores.

The 2022 Kindle is super light, compact, and perfect for reading anywhere. The 300 ppi screen is sharp and glare-free, and the battery lasts for weeks. With 16GB of storage, it holds tons of books. No frills, just a great reading experience—excellent value!

Functions exactly as it should and has amazing battery life, light, efficient, and easy on the eyes with adjustable brightness and dark modes.

I would have happily bought a new Kindle 2022, but Amazon didn’t have any, so I decided to get a refurbished version for a slightly lower cost. It works great, was easy to set up (I have an Echo so it already knew my WiFi info), and is very easy and intuitive to use (there are also guides when you first turn it on). It took weeks to get here (which seems odd for an Amazon-created product), but I already use it more than the app on my phone.Unfortunately, there is some weird damage to the screen (looks like a circle) when reading in dark mode and low light. It’s invisible when it’s in light mode, and not as obvious in dark mode in a well-lit room. I realize I could return it, but it took so long to get here and it doesn’t distract from reading (it does not impact text), so it’s not worth it for me. I’m just a bit disappointed that they didn’t check/fix this in the refurbishment process. And yes I did clean the screen to ensure it wasn’t just a smudge.It’s also worth noting that it does come with ads on the lock screen, despite not mentioning ads at all on the product page (removing them seems like an easy way to encourage sales of refurbished products). The ads don’t bother me, but I know that’s important for some people.All in all, if you’re looking for a slightly discounted price and don’t mind small potential issues or ads, it’s worth getting. I use my Kindle every day.

10/10, the best Christmas present I've ever bought myself. I ended up getting my mom one too. I opted for this refurbished option for myself because I wasn't sure how much I would actually use it and didn't want to waste the money on something that would just sit on my nightstand untouched. But I have barely put this thing down since I received it. It's compact enough to fit in my coat pocket, so I frequently take it with me to work or when I run errands in case I have to wait in a long line or have a bit of downtime. I usually find myself reaching for this bad boy instead of my phone in those instances. I recently joined Kindle Unlimited as well, and it has been well worth the price for me. I plowed through all of the available Dungeon Crawler Carl books faster than I thought possible. I honestly haven't read this ravenously since I was a kid reading Harry Potter for the first time. If you're a reader, you absolutely need this thing. The paper like screen is so easy on the eyes, unlike my phone screen, and the night mode is great for reading in bed while my wife is asleep. I genuinely can't recommend this thing enough.

So far, i love it! More than i thought i would actually. I was more worried about the size but it isn’t bad at all. Easy to hold, and easy to use! Very happy with purchase!
