We are a multi cat home. So, getting these made a huge difference. All cat people know that there WILL be litter strung through your house. We have noticed that these knock that litter traffic down by at least 75%. I'm not sure there's a product made that would cut it down to zero, but these made a significant noticeable change.

I love this Kitty Litter catcher. I have one similar that was bigger but this size works much better. Easy to fold and put the caught litter back in the Cat box. Easy to clean. My Cats had no problem walking on it right away. So far this is really helping keep the litter from wondering.

so, I'd written a two star review because I was still finding litter way outside the mat, but also because there's an oily residue that feels like some kind of silicone based substance that I fear was causing the cats to leap over it instead of walking on it. however, I realized due to how a cats back foot is shaped and how it interacts with the floor, I was never going to trap all the litter with any mat. once I'd given the foam part of the mat a good cleaning (difficult to do, btw), I was at least happy knowing this wouldn't harm the babies. over time, they've stopped leaping over it. it's definitely keeping 95% of the litter to one area, which is obviously better than nothing. and since the litter that makes it out of the box is typically just clean litter, any other style of mat would be really difficult to get back into the box. so, I cancelled the return. I will always still have to do daily litter sweeps, but not nearly as often. I also believe because I use okocat wood based litter, it's much more likely to stick to their fur, and doesn't fall off as easily as clay litter would. so, I think that's why I'm still having the amount of litter escape that I am. but I'm unwilling to change to a much more unhealthy alternative, so I'm happy with what I'm able to achieve. but, DO check your mats, I believe that oil is there to keep the foam from drying out and the cats shouldn't be ingesting it.

This is a great product idea and so glad I found it! My cat went right to it, rubbed his paws on it as he likes the nubby feel and is not afraid to walk on it in/out of the litter box. It also catches the little completely falling it through leaving no litter on the top to track. This is 100% better than any carpet based little run.

We have a litter box in one of the bathrooms and the floor always had litter everywhere so we got one of these mats and it really works. Once a week I go into that bathroom, push the vacuum nozzle into the mat 'envelope' and vacuum up all the litter that would normally be on the floor. The mat is kind of 'poky' though when you step on it but that's the magic of it; It works all the litter off of your cat's paws and between the toes and the litter falls down to the base mat. There it stays till you come in and open the envelope, revealing that base mat with all the litter for you to vacuum or pour into a waste basket. Minimal clean up. It works. That's all I can say. Now we use Tidy Cats granular clumping litter. I don't know how it works with other litters.

I really like this product. My cat is super messy and drags litter everywhere. This product stops most of it right on the mat. I have one for each cat, and wish I had known about the product sooner!!

I was hoping this would eliminate so much litter being tracked from the box. It is a pretty good size compared to some, but I don't think that it eliminates the litter being tracked anymore than any of the other style pads.
