Doesn't work for older Emerson or Sylvania TV's... maybe just smart TV? Wonder if I can still return? I'll give 5 stars because I maybe didn't understand?

SO glad this was available since the remote for our tv had been missing for years. We were afraid they did not carry this a compatible remote for our tv. The remote paired nicely with the tv with EASE. I wish the panel lit up but overall the remote functions exactly as we expected. The replacement is worth the price.

Works great. Extremely simple to use. Replaced all my other remotes I had for my TV. I had 3. About to order another one for another TV.

I have a Magnavox TV it worked for a while and quit working shortly after the return expiration that Amazon gives. Trying to contact the seller to see if I can get another paper with the codes or if they can send me the codes and how to set up the remote again to see if I can make it work. I pushed and held the Magnavox button for programming but the only thing that does is work the volume sometimes the power works sometimes it doesn't won't work anything else on the TV. I'll update this if I get a seller response to five stars if they're willing to work with me on this product.

The issue with these "Universal" remotes is always whether or not it will contain the preprogrammed codes to be able to control your particular device. Well, in my case unfortunately it did not. We have a Roku box and a Optimum cable box. It did not control either, despite the list of thousand so models and manufactures it did control. Now, granted, it seems unrealistic to think that these Universal Remotes can actually control every electronic device ever made since the dawn of the TV era, so to compensate for that, many of them have a LEARNING function whereby if you have the original remote for a particular device that the Universal can't control, you can have the Universal Remote "learn" the codes in the original remote and so the Universal remote can then mimic the original and control what it couldn't with what was pre-programed into it. This one model DOES NOT have a learning feature. So for us, it's hit that RETURN button on the website. Just be aware that there is the possibilty it may not have your device codes preprogrammed in it. What they should do, is, in the description of the product, a list or a link to a list, should be available so you can ssee all the models that are preprogramed in BEFORE you buy so you can determine if it will work with your device.
