good and handy jig tool when you get used to how it works
This dowel jig kit makes it much easier to get the holes drilling the right place and consistent in the spacing between the edges of a board.The plastic jig part is very sturdy and has a well-supported handle so you can hold it steady while you drill, used with either a slide on section that tightens in place with two flat head screws (flat head is a bit old fashioned and it didn't come with a screwdriver to adjust these) and this can line it up on a flat side then you can drill through which ever of the 3 sizes suit your down choice. Or you can flip it over and use the 4 prongs sticking out to hold sideways onto the edge of a board and get the hole nicely in the middle each time.It comes with 3 drill bits all perfectly sized for the holes and the dowels that come in the set and they each have an adjustable depth gauge ring on them so you can get nice consistent depths if you are drilling multiple holes. The depth rings can be adjusted via the little screw in the side and the Allen key which is included.Overall, for £11.98 it’s not bad value for money, well designed and once you get used to it gives good results, but I would practice first.

Broke very quickly within the first 10 drill holes
The metal collar digs into the drill bit (provided) and breaks away from the plastic,I suspect there isn't enough clearancePoor product

I was impressed by its versatility and ease of use.

Great for me.
I wanted to join two panels to make a door so accuracy is obviously very important. I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was. I was able to join the pieces with dowels and wood glue and the seam is practically invisible now. I am really pleased.I don't have any use for it at the moment but for that job alone it was worth the purchase and I am sure it will come in handy again one day.

Finicky
Adjustment is a nightmare, screws that allow you to adjust the guide JUST about fit so makes it a pain. Drill bits were bent, leave them out and reduced the price. Spend a little more money for something better
