Ok, so hear me out…I didn’t buy this floss for flossing (although it’s amazing for that too). I bought this 6-pack of dental floss to cut homemade cinnamon rolls — and it worked like a dream! If you’ve ever made cinnamon rolls form scratch, you know that slicing the dough without squishing the spiral is a challenge. Enter this smooth, strong floss! It glides perfectly through the dough without sticking or tearing, keeping those swirls bakery-beautiful. No jagged edges, no smooshed rolls. Just clean cuts every time! And bonus — I’ve got FIVE more packs now, so I’m fully stocked for both baking and dental hygiene. 😂 It’s durable, doesn’t shred, and now lives in both my kitchen and bathroom drawers.Moral of the story: this floss is a multitasking MVP. Whether you’re fighting plaque or prepping pastries, this is the ones to get.

New tape material is horrible, awful, and just plain NO GOOD!
Like many other reviewers, I was nonplussed when my longtime regular order of the classic Glide floss arrived in a new packaging calling it "Healthy Gums". At first I assumed that it was merely a rebranding but quickly discovered that it is a new TYPE of floss, which is VERY inferior to the old version! The floss in the first package experienced the sticking-in-dispenser problem AND shredded often when actually used. Most of my teeth are very tightly spaced, and I have crowns and an implant as well, so that was a big problem. But I assumed it was simply a bad batch. The next one that I opened isn't doing that but it is clear that the new material is cheap, thin, and uncomfortable to use. Here's my problem: I can't use any dental product that is mint flavored, and this appears to be the ONLY tape-style floss that comes in an unflavored version. So it's not a case of simply 'switching to a different floss brand'...there are NO brands that have floss tape without mint.Oral-B had a great product and now they have ruined it. I don't know if their floss picks are still the old material but if they are, I am going to order a metric ton of them before they ruin that product too. :-(

Lives up to its name—Glide!
This is my second time buying this floss. The first time was not great, the floss feels like plastic and when I pull the floss out, it sometimes lags and when I pull harder, too much comes out. This time, it has much improved to be like the Oral B minted tape floss. I had wanted to buy floss like that but since it’s mint, I won’t. Now the improvement has made the price increase of 2 cents per foot to 3 cents per foot more worth the purchase. The added window to see the roll of floss definitely helps me predict when I will need to buy more floss if the pack of six runs out. And most importantly, the floss is wider like tape and it’s softer like fabric almost! The experience of flossing literally feels like it's gliding through my gums. No pain at all like the floss from the first, unimproved purchase. The new packaging in all paper is a plus too, as it is easier to rip out the floss from it than from plastic, as well as the environmentally friendly factor. I like that they also put a QR code on the packaging to let you know where to recycle the floss dispenser, I didn't know that they need to be especially recycled, usually I just throw them in my blue recycling bin. I like that they improved it. I won't look at any other brands from now on, this one is perfect.

my favorite floss
As someone who has teeth that are very close together, it seems imperative to have a floss that is coated so it does not break constantly as I'm flossing. At the dentist they always give out that unwaxed floss which is not worth using for someone like me. It breaks between your teeth, then trying to get the frayed piece out from between your teeth, you get more and more stuff lodged in with the original floss. So, save yourself a lot of aggravation and discomfort and just get this awesome coated floss. It has a pleasant taste, the cost is very reasonable, and of course the added convenience of Amazon saving time and $$ not running to the store. I have it on subscribe-and-save, as I'll be needing floss as long as I have teeth. The 6 pack is ingenious, because I can dispense it to the rest of the family~

This product has changed
I have been using this brand for decades. It has changed recently. It is no longer Goretex. I have read that there were some health and environment questions about this. substance, which motivated the change. The product now feels just like ordinary dental floss to me. It is a much less pleasant experience than the Goretex version.I can understand the reasons for the change, but I percceive no reason to pay a premium for this brand. It performs like generic dental floss.

Scrubs the tartar better than waxed ones
I like them better than the flavored or waxed ones. It cleans and scrubs teeth better.
