Tamiya has a reputation for producing high quality kits, and this an example of why. The parts fit perfectly, with little to no gaps to fill. The level of detail is quite good, the panel lines are well defined, and the cockpit is remarkable. This kit comes with a clear fuselage half to give views of the engine and cockpit, however, the plastic is a bit cloudy, making it difficult to really see inside, and the engine lacks any real detail to see anyway, so I opted for the standard exterior. There are decals for two different aircraft (from the same unit), both of which are colorful and eye catching. Kits for this aircraft are hard to come by, so this is one kit that I highly recommend for anyone interested in WW2 Japanese aircraft.

Non lo ho ancora realizzato. Lo sto studiando e mi sembra semplicemente perfetto come tutti gli altri kit Tamiya che ho acquistato. Tamiya è sempre una garanzia da acquistare ad occhi chiusi.

タミヤの素晴らしいキットであることは間違いないと思いますが、あえて気に入らないことを書くと、半割れの透明な機体パーツは、なぜか、すりガラス状の表面モールドで、透明性が低いです。せっかく内部をきちんと仕上げてもボヤッと見えるだけになってしまいます。透明機体パーツを使おうか迷います。また、機首上部のカバーは取り外せるようになっていますが、機銃の銃身が取り外すカバーに付く形になっており不自然です。半割れの透明な機体パーツはコンパウンドで磨き、クリアを塗り、少し透明度が上がりました。エンジン側面は簡素すぎるのでパイプとコード等を追加しました。岐阜かがみがはら航空宇宙博物館の飛燕が参考になります

The Tony is a very interesting subject and was a fun build. No difficulty in fit or finish. Give this one a 5.
