HuckberryMen's Waxed Canvas 6-Panel Hat, Highly Water-Resistant for Protection

I’ve been wearing waxed canvas clothing since I live In a humid, hot environment. Not really a good environment for heavy wools that I’ve grown used to up north. Lets start off with how comfortable it is. When I put on this hat, it felt as natural as the untreated hat I’ve worn for 7 years without the breakin period. This is not a garment you want to wear in extreme heat though as it does not wick sweat. You want to wear bare untreated cotton fabric in those conditions. However, I can already tell that this hat will last. I have generally waxed my garments for preservation, water resistance and overall toughness. My last hat, a carheart branded prefaded baseball cap; was overcame by fatigue about 7 years in. This hat has easily twice the strength of my previous everyday wear hat going off of experience. It is not great for hot environments where the goal is to saturate the hat in water. So if you are hiking in an extreme environment where soaking your hat is your goal in order to cool yourself more effectively, this is not the hat for you. The water resistant properties of this hat are extremely effective. I am very happy with this purchase as the quality is actually higher than what you pay. Id easily pay $100 for this hat. The minimal branding is a bonus and the color selection lets you blend into foliage if that is your goal. I have nothing bad to say about this hat and look forward to testing some of their other garments as the temperature and humidity drops in my area. I spend a lot of time outdoors and look for products that are actually worth the money spent on them. This so far has been one of those products. And if you are one of those camper kings… you may get to look like you have actually slept under the stars under a poshpolatka instead of in your camper where you have all the commodities of home…but we know… trust me we know…

Quality hat and fit. The material is a little thin, as is the wax—which is why only 4 stars.That said, I like the hat and purchased a second. Here's why:1. It's perfect for fishing. It has a dark under bill that help with glare.2. The thin material takes additional wax with a heat gun or a hair dryer on high.3. At the price point, if it gets washed down stream, I'm not going to worry about losing a $50 brand name hat with a logo that's only marginally better.

The hat is just overall quality as hell

I do like the waxed material and the leather adjustable back strap but it’s not worth the price they’re asking.

It's shallow. It sits too high on my head. I wish it were deeper and came down further. If they had a larger version I would definitely purchase. I feel like I am wearing a kids hat.

Suave e impermeable

Unique materials, should make a nice rain hat. My only complaint is that it rides rather high on your head. Most hats I have are a little deeper and come down closer to my ears. Not a deal breaker but not quite what I’m used to
