Great little unit and does a great job for making all sorts of labels

This battery provides portability for the Leitz Icon printer. It doesn't add much to the footprint and aesthetically it matches the printer perfectly. It lasts about half a day with moderate use. Although small, it adds some a little weight to the overall printer/battery package.

Very handy but it doesn't hold a charge for very long.

This is designed exclusively for the Leitz Icon Label Printer and is relatively expensive until it is understood that it is 24v and 2400Ah, when it then provides good value against lower power systems.Unusually, the pack is designed to fit externally and hangs off the back of the printer; two lugs at the top are first engaged and the pack is gently lowered until its connector block lines up with the socket on the printer. The remaining two lugs then engage, holding the pack securely on the printer. A release button needs to be used when disconnecting. As is normal with other such battery packs, it arrives part-charged but is recharged only via the printer and uses what is normally the printer's mains lead and adapter which remain connected to the printer.The pack is very heavy and and adds considerably to that of the printer which is actually portable. You may therefore wish to remove the battery if carrying the two for any distance. When fully charged, there is sufficient power for 12 hours of use and about 1200 labels although some sources claim values that are a small proportion of those quoted and which may relate to an older version using different technology. One omission from its design is the lack of a means to indicate the remaining level of power or to check it and there is no similar provision on the printer body. There may be situations where the printer has to rely on the battery for its power but when it has also not connected to mains for a day or two and the charge is depleted. The only indication may then be that the printer is unresponsive.The pack is solidly constructed and should be able to take moderate accidental knocks etc but probably not a drop onto a solid floor as may be found in office buildings and warehouses where the printer is most likely to be used. It should be noted that, when not attached to the printer, several metal pins are exposed and unprotected although they are unlikely to be damaged in normal handling. However, they should be protected in transit, especially against accidental shorting which may cause a fire.The pack is optional to allow both complete portability and totally cable-free use as the printer provides Wi-Fi connectivity. Some purchasers will probably consider this an essential if they work in locations where a mains power socket may not be conveniently located but urgently need to print one or many labels. It's a problem that the printer for which it is intended has so many other issues that render the system unusable.

Der Akku ist eine sinnvoll Ergänzung zum Leitz Icon Etikettendrucker. Endlich kein Stromkabel mehr. Der Spaß wird aber schnell getrübt, da der Drucker mit angeschlossenem Akku dauerhaft eingeschaltet ist. Der Akku muss also nach jeder Verwendung wieder abgeklemmt werden. Da stellt sich die Frage, was sich die Entwickler hierbei gedacht haben? Bei meiner Taschenlampe muss ich auch nicht die Batterien entfernen, damit das Licht ausgeht...Zudem gibt es Probleme mit der Erkennung von Etiketten in fester Größe. Auf der Trägerfolie befindet sich rückseitig eine schwarze Markierung, die dem Drucker signalisiert: Hier fängt ein neues Etikett an. Diese Markierung ignoriert der Drucker aber, so dass Etiketten mit einem ständig wechselndem Versatz gedruckt und mitten durch's Etikett abgeschnitten werden. Manchmal wird 1 Ausdruck auf 2 Etiketten verteilt und es sind bis zu 10 Ausdrucke erforderlich, bis der Ausdruck wieder mittig auf dem Aufkleber sitzt. Welch' Verschwendung!Die Qualität der Ausdrucke lässt ebenfalls zu wünschen übrigen. Die Ausdrucke sind vergleichbar mit einem Laserdrucker, dessen Toner fast leer ist: Die Schrift wirkt viel zu fein und fleckig.Der Drucker hatte mich durch seine Optik überzeugt. Doch von Äußerlichkeiten darf man sich nicht blenden lassen. Eine Kaufempfehlung vergebe ich hiermit leider nicht :-(

► Schnelle Lieferung► Sichere Verpackung► Hält auch schön langeObwohl ich serh von dem kleinen Drucker begeistert bin, ziehe ich auch hierbeim Akku wieder ein Stern ab, da sich der "Drucker" nicht ausschalten lässt.Akku rein, Drucken, und dann Akku wieder abziehen, oder einfach "leerlaufen"lassen. Wäre Klasse wenn demnächst eine Firmwäre käme, die softwareseitigden Drucker nach 15 oder 30min inaktivität abschaltet.Ansonsten ein TOP Produkt
