Great entry level drift rc
Awesome little car to get into rc drifting. Amazing value compared to the competition for this completely ready to run kit. Lots of aftermarket parts and support for when you want to upgrade. Aluminum chassis is a real stand out feature and mashes it very durable. It has lots of power as well. My only complaint is the controller it comes with is unnecessarily bulky.

Top notch price to performance!
If you're unsure if it's worth purchasing this, don't be. I went through 3 other "budget drift RC" cars before being told about this brand. I wish I had known, and gone with this from the start. The quality is top notch, and highly customizable with all the parts on Amazon or eBay.Perfect car for learning and branching into more advanced uses. 4wd drifts are easy to pick up, and makes you feel like a pro out of the box. Then when you're ready to branch into rwd drifting, there are mods galore for this brand. Seriously, it would be hard to find a better platform to start from, and it's a perfect car for beginners and amateurs (perhaps even more skilled too, but I'm not so I can't speak to that lol).If you're on the fence like I was, just pull the trigger on this set. The extra batteries are great for rotating through charges, and they last 20 to 30 minutes of ripping around the house. My only complaint is the body is hideous, but the internals are so good, I can easily look past that minor flaw. Plus there are lots of aftermarket options to replace it with, or you can just paint it yourself.

buyer beware! worked great, until the charger stopped working
6/22/24 update- STILL trying to get a replacement charger from the company. I’ve been in communications with them since November trying to get a replacement and just getting a constant run around. Horrible customer and product support. This is a super awesome little remote control truck as long as it works. It worked great the first time we used it, then the charger didn't work again, and so now it just sits there. The charging wires didn't line up properly to begin with, but charged fine the first time, as long as you figured out which wires actually lined up with the correct ones. She had a great time with it, now my daughter is just bummed her car wont charge. We tried everything to try and get it to work. I contacted the seller over six months ago, they said they were going to send a replacement charger, but am yet to hear anything back from them, or receive a replacement. So buyer beware!

Great out of the box!
Fun out of the box! So far after a day of use the truck is holding up well.Pros:- Pretty much ready to go out of the box. You can opt to install decorative accessories like windshield wipers, mirrors, door handles, decals etc- Easy to control and use. My 5yr old was controlling it instantly.- Climbs rocks well!- Affordable and comes with 3 batteries.Cons- Has an annoying hum when running.- Vague instructions- It’s easy to plug the batteries into the charger the wrong way. Did this and melted a battery connection. I’d advise adult supervision when charging.

Value foor money
These WPL trucks are great for the price! I have four of them. One broke after two hard uses. Stripped motor gears. The other three are still going strong after two months of heavy use. The replacement motor direct from WPL is $9, so it's not the end of the world. Part of hobby grade RCs is the hobby of tinkering/upgrading and model building techniques such as painting & weathering, so I have to replace a motor, no big deal. I have already upgraded all my wheels to metal ones with softer tires and installed metal drive shafts. All very cheap to do. And a huge performance gain from just those new parts. And these trucks have all metal upgrades for every part. Other high end RCs are hundreds and even thousands of dollars. These things are great out of the box and even better when upgraded.

Batteries are Labeled and Advertised as 1200mAh, but are Only 500mAh
I've previously built a WPL C24-1KM (kit version with metal upgrades and 370 motor) so I knew what I was getting into (including that some tweaking would be required to optimize the performance of the existing toy-grade suspension and running gear) so I have no problem with the vehicle itself. But the included batteries in this bundle are only the standard 500mAh packs using 14500 (basically AA-sized cells) rather than the 18650 cell size that would be required to provide 1200mAh (see the attached pic from another source for reference). I confirmed this by charging one from a fully discharged state with a charger that integrates current over time (a pretty standard feature of hobby-grade chargers). The batteries are are actually labeled "14500/1200mAh" which is just wrong as it's not possible to pack that much capacity into a rechargeable 14500 Li-Ion cell. It's possilbe the seller doesn't know any of this, and believed the label. I requested an exchange for a bundle with 3 batteries that meet the advertised capacity, but received another one with the same small 500mAh batteries. I will just be returning the replacement and letting this go with a note to Amazon that the listing needs to be corrected. Incidentally, I found that the wiring of the included parallel charging cable is incorrectly color coded with the black and red wires on the wrong sides for the connectors but it's wrong on both ends so isn't a problem electrically. Finally, I should add that both the listing and the package should include a clear warning to noobs that the batteries need to be in roughly the same state of charge to be safely connected in parallel. In particular, connecting one fully discharged battery in parallel with two fully charged batteries could easily burn up the cable or even cause a battery fire (!). Really a parallel charging cable should not be included in a product that's likely to be used by children.
