Oh my - this book !!!This is Jade West at her very best as far as I'm concerned. I LOVED it and more. Jade's writing is always good and I love the way she can mix the very dark/erotic with the light and bring a sprinkle of romance and love into the story. Dirty as hell, scary and shocking, yet exciting and tempting as chocolate when on a diet. It lures and teases you, leaves you drooling and the pull is like a magnet which whittles away your willpower and in the end you just give in to the desire, the want, the need. Yes Jade knows how to drag you into a story like no other, lets just say not a lot got done in my house while I was reading this !!I never thought she would ever top the Dirty Bad books because they were a first for me in that sort of genre and yes she loves to shock and I LOVE her for shocking me. I admire her adventure, I love the way her mind works and I can never wait to read her books when she brings a new one out.You can feel that she has put her heart and soul into this story and the characters and it worked so well.Abigail has a past she has run from and is lost and alone in her head. She is looking for some danger and thrills when she answers an add online that might just see her get her wish. "Phoenix Burning" is her choice but unbeknownst to her Phoenix is dealing with some epic S*** from his dark and dangerous past as well, as she soon finds out. Be prepared for the ride of your life with these two fascinating characters !!!I swear my heart was in my mouth whilst reading these two complex characters created by Jade. This author does top the scale when she writes her leading men and she never fails to delight, shock, suprise and make me squirm when you read her books. There were times I wanted to be Abigail, to feel what she was experiencing with Phoenix who is the most luscious, sexy, dirty, dangerous beast you have ever read (fanning myself)So if you are a Jade West fan you are going to LOVE this one.If your new to Jade and want to be taken out of your comfort zone, fell your heart beat just a little faster, be taken into the world of the dark and dangerous, then this book is the one to do it - read it - NOW because it is a brilliant piece of work from this formidable author.

This was a good story. I liked the interesting storyline, how the characters met, meet up and the whole bait/monster scenario. It’s something new and intriguing. They were very daring in their endeavours and luckily they didn’t get caught out in at least not out in the open. Main characters Abigail and Leo, both have dark/sad back stories, Leo’s family drama almost leads to more tragedy for him. But a good HEA eventually.

This book was amazing, the storyline captivated me from the beginning and I finished the book in a day. A spicy, romantic and dark read.I highly recommend

I have to say this one surprised me, I was going in blind not reading any blurb. It was very dark and disturbing. Abigail was a troubled soul and her tale a sad one but I couldn't link the fixation of wanting to be hunted and raped. That was just a far reach. Leo also a troubled soul with his own sad tale was willing to oblige abi.I just couldn't accept anyone wanting that fantasy based on their back stories. I'm sure there are people out there that push the boundaries but I found it sick and disturbing anyone could get off on this scene play.That being said, the characters were very good and storyline including back stories very well written. I think the storyline was sad, gripping and highly charged.I think the author was brave tackling this subject but it's not sexy, nor for everyone.It's does go into detail of consensual rape scenarios which may be upsetting. It's also contains violence and abuse.This certainly is thought provoking.

I really enjoyed reading this book. The characters were brilliant, the plot was good and there were some hot scenes.The premise may have been a little wrong with what Abigail asked for. Asking a stranger online to basically jump you and hunt you clearly is a little messed up, and yet it was so good to read. For her to get to that point shows how badly she got hurt in the past.Leo clearly had his problems to agree to it. He craved the hunt and he really did take things to a new level with his stalking. Yet, I loved him. As the book went on, you learn about what happened and they grow close to each other. In the end, I absolutely loved these characters and I really felt for them. The scenes between them were on fire, the spark clearly there, even when they didn’t know each other. I loved seeing them grow their relationship into something real.The ending was good where everything gradually came together to give them the happy ending they deserved.This book was dirty and wrong and yet so good to read. The characters were brilliant and you eventually understood them. Overall, I loved reading this book and I would definitely recommend it.Jessreviews.co.uk

I’m obsessed! Its perfect!I loved the story, the characters, including the girl. Usually female characters are a bit annoying in some dark books but she’s been perfect!Honestly my favourite dark book so far. It has everything, excitement, thrill, love, hot jealousy (in my opinion), mystery and good character development.

I loved Bait, adored how the story followed two lost individuals who literally love the chase. Bait is a story of guilt, loss and low self esteem that turns into support and love. Great read!

Started this one thinking it was just pure crazy smut. Turned into a beautiful story as well. Gorgeous character development. Even a hea that fits so well.

First of all because I really like books with primal play and it’s not so easy to find them. Sometimes it’s difficult for authors to balance really hot books with an internet plot, and let me tell you, their story kept me glued to the book at all times. At one point I had to stop myself from reading because I had to sleep, but it was not easy.If you like books with messed up main characters who find comfort in each other’s craziness all of that on top of scorching hot scenes, remember it’s a dark book, so no fluffiness here, maybe in the scenes where Leo is being a good father to his little kid, but most of the book is raw and crazy. Meaning: totally recommend it.

Amazing!!!! I simply couldn't put it down! Such a dark beautiful story. Some people were talking about it on booktock and I'm so glad I listened!! A must read!
